Good price you’ve got there Darren. :good:

At the current 2/1 I can oppose Amiloc. Although on ratings it was a good performance at Goodwood, he went in snatches in rear. I don’t know if his temperament will hold here and displayed a rounded action. Today’s surface might be against him.

Opportunity was beaten 8 1/2 lengths by Amiloc, but was badly hampered more than once and Haggas is in better form now. Opportunity is progressive and on breeding could improve a lot. By Frankel out of dual Group 1 winner at 10f Izzi top.

I also like Regal Ulixes at a big price. Ulysses half brother to Regal Reality. Who is better than winning distance suggests (coming from rear in a slowish run affair) last time. Another progressive performer.

Zahrann is another who was dropped out the back in a less than truly run race. Better than his winning distance.

Backed all three when I thought Galveston would be pacemaker to Puppet Master (who needs a well run race at 12f)… However, with Puppet Master now out and galveston now ridden by Moore it may not be as strongly run as I first thought. That said, can’t really see Galveston being good enough anyway. It has however persuaded me to back Wimbledon Hawkeye who’s usually up with the pace… And if it is slowish he probably has more speed than most too.

Will Nightwalker go walkies? The Gosdens are in absolutely magnificent form. I backed Nightwalker for The Derby, so won’t be a happy chappy if he wins today without my money on. After getting behind in the Dante, cheek pieces were tried at Epsom where he looked a right dog. Now they reach for blinkers and if (imo quite a big IF) they work…

Green Storm was 7th in the Derby, but that form shouldn’t be good enough. Would be one that might challenge Galveston for the lead though… And a slower race wouldn’t be in his favour either. So hopefully they’ll go a decent pace.

    Forget Minhad, social runner.

I’ve backed Zahrann, Wimbledon, Regal and Opportunity.
