Comments on Racing TV; “I don’t know about what we’ll do moving forward. Sadly, his owner (Tony Solomons) won’t know he’s running. His daughter is in charge and she’s not interested in racing so I’m not sure what’s happening to be perfectly honest.”
What does this mean?
https://www.racingtv.com/news/hewick-returns-to-sandown-to-plunder-oaksey-chaseTony Solomons is 93 years old, so we can make a reasonable guess at what it means. He’s been an owner with Bailey since the late 70’s, best horses for the pair being this one, First Flow, and Harry Topper.
What a shame, his daughter not got interest in racing. Wonder if any of the rest the family are?

If I was the daughter, that comment would not inspire me to get interested in racing.
Agree it is a strange comment to have made, and is unlikely to have made the owner’s daughter feel more positively inclined towards racing. It rather gives the impression that relations with her are not very good.
How sad that First Flow’s owner was not able to enjoy his horse’s superb performance on Saturday.
I’m not sure randomly logging onto a racing website and finding people are speculating about her age would endear the sport to her either.
Not everyone likes racing same as not eveyone likes golf (bores me rigid), which is why when I inherit Royal Liverpool, Hoylake, I’m going to have a Council Estate, with a drive-thu McDonalds in the centre of it, built on the land.
