I was up at South Kilduff, along with Venture To Cognac of this parish, where we saw Outlaw Tom do some schooling. He looks in fine nick and will be well ready for his first run of the season. That run is almost certain to be in an ‘interactive planning’ race at Hexham, who have put on a requested 3m 1f 0-125 Handicap Chase on Friday October 3rd. Tom was certainly wasting no time scoffing the polo mints this morning and seems a happy horse right now!
Meanwhile The Village is having an easy time at the moment. He was scanned after a disappointing effort in his last race at Perth since he seemed to have some problems in the pelvic area. There’s no crack but he’s been given a month just working on the horse walker before being returned to full work. It will be a crucial time as there’s something to prove with The Village. It appears that he does not like polo mints as he spat them out!
