    The big hitters must have been out in force. Hors Piste opened 1/6, at one point was backed into as short as 1/12, before easing back out to 1/10 and winning in a hack canter.

    Was anyone really backing it to the extent that the price had to be shortened that much? Hope everyone lumped on. ;-)

    Imagine if you lumped on at 1-12 and didn’t get best odds guaranteed.

    Looks like they are going in again for Deodar in the 7.40 at Doncaster. 1/9 into 1/12.

    Anyone who wants to take 1/12 against a horse with Jamie Spencer on his back is made of sterner stuff than I am.

    And it scraped home by half a length. Although to be fair to Spencer, it looked an awkward ride to say the least. He might have done well to win on it.
