The big hitters must have been out in force. Hors Piste opened 1/6, at one point was backed into as short as 1/12, before easing back out to 1/10 and winning in a hack canter.
Was anyone really backing it to the extent that the price had to be shortened that much? Hope everyone lumped on.
May 13, 2022 at 19:11 #1597853Imagine if you lumped on at 1-12 and didn’t get best odds guaranteed.
Gutted.
May 13, 2022 at 19:34 #1597855Looks like they played up their winnings on Kyprios at Leopardstown. 1/7 into 1/10.
May 13, 2022 at 23:56 #1597897As Big Mac used to say “someone
knew”. Probably several in this
case.May 14, 2022 at 19:40 #1598067Looks like they are going in again for Deodar in the 7.40 at Doncaster. 1/9 into 1/12.
Anyone who wants to take 1/12 against a horse with Jamie Spencer on his back is made of sterner stuff than I am.
May 15, 2022 at 12:43 #1598174And it scraped home by half a length. Although to be fair to Spencer, it looked an awkward ride to say the least. He might have done well to win on it.
