That sounds about right…the 3rd dam of Dublin (Grey Mirage) is the 3rd dam of our horse we recently sold.
She is a speed horse, can’t get further than 1200m (6f), but her two half siblings have won at 2100m and 1600m respectively (and the one that won at 1600m, Reigning Rhythm, looks like a 2 miler already!).
So I’m not sure, it is definitely a speed family but with a bit of stamina injected in they can definitely stay.

April 5, 2010 at 19:29 #287771The Derby is limited to 20 horses based on graded stakes earnings. At this point many commentators are saying that $225,000-$250,000 is the cutoff. Injuries and defections could let many below the top 20 squeeze in. Here’s the list of the top 45as of Sunday. I’ve italicized out the ones that are 90-100% likely to not go or not get in. The ones in bold won’t race again till the Derby (question mark=unsure).

Derby Trial (Eightyfiveinafifty)April 5, 2010 at 20:35 #287792What’s the news on Eightyfiveinafifty, Miss W?
After Saturday I was under the impression Contessa will keep him at sprint distances? Have there been rumours about the Derby being back on the cards?

Contessa is an idiot and still wants those roses.
http://www.drf.com/news/article/111937.htmlDon’t call it Derby fever, but the connections of Eightyfiveinafifty have a slight temperature.
Trainer Gary Contessa said Monday that he plans to run Bay Shore winner Eightyfiveinafifty in the Grade 3, $200,000 Derby Trial at Churchill Downs on April 24. Should the horse win that one-turn, one-mile race, he could very well run back one week later in the Kentucky Derby.
"If all goes well, I’m going to the Derby Trial," Contessa said Monday. "He could punch his own ticket to the Derby. I don’t have to go to the Derby by any means, but if the Derby Trial is an easy race for him, he comes back a week later in the Derby and that would probably be good for him; it would take the edge off him."
Eightyfiveinafifty, wearing a one-cup blinker outside of his right eye, basically went gate to wire in the Bay Shore, though he had his head cocked to the left in the early stages and appeared to be getting out. He drifted a little bit through the lane down the stretch while winning by 2 1/2 lengths. He ran seven furlongs in 1:21.89 and earned a Beyer Speed Figure of 100, his second triple-digit Beyer Speed Figure of the year.
In between those two races, Eightyfiveinafifty bolted entering the first turn of the two-turn Whirlaway Stakes. He unseated his jockey and jumped two rails before being caught on the backside. Contessa said he’s not convinced one way or the other about the colt’s chances to get two turns.

April 16, 2010 at 19:14 #290672Blinkers off for Looking At Lucky, might help him stay out of trouble;
April 18, 2010 at 07:03 #290924Nice trackside video of Looking At Lucky, Conveyance and Setsuko working out. Setsuko looks like he would like a distance of ground, and off his strong close in the Santa Anita Derby, would be a good longshot pick for the KY Derby. But Setsuko would have to draw in as he is currently 25th on Miss Woodford’s list. Larry Zap mentions Setsuko as a Belmont possibility.
April 18, 2010 at 07:50 #290927Sidney’s Candy impressive in Churchill work. Rated well behind workmate, finished strong in 59 4/5 5f, galloped out 6f in 1:12 4/5 and 7f in 1:27 2/5.
April 20, 2010 at 17:03 #291346Does anyone give Dublin any chance?
I reckon he is crying out for a distance.
My family part owned a mare down here in Australia who was closely related to Dublin (she went off to the breeding barn recently), so I am looking forward to seeing how he goes.
D. Wayne Lukas likes him "I like him as well as any of them I’ve had". Dublin had a great work over the Churchill Downs track on Monday. The following article describes Dublin’s work and has updates on several other derby contenders;

Lets face it though, it’s not just the Wood Memorial…it’s the Fountain of Youth too!
Eskendereya is one of the most solid favourites in years.
Below Esky, it’s completely open though and there’s every reason to expect a below par performance from him if the pace is too strong.
My dark horse is Mission Impazable.
Super Saver has all of the right breeding angles and a little known jockey by the name of Calvin Bo-RAIL
April 24, 2010 at 23:11 #292337Backside rumor is that Esky has a mild tendon issue or a bone chip that is being worked through. He did not work with the rest of Pletcher’s horses today due to the slop, he had a slow gallop instead, and was the only Derby/Oaks horse to keep his leg bandages on after the gallop. He also wore bandages in the Wood. For whatever reason they are playing it very safe with him.
Mission Impazible looked the best of today’s workers, while Sidney’s Candy seemed to have difficulty rating and Dublin looked a bit sour, trying to bolt twice before settling down.
April 25, 2010 at 13:27 #292404Eskendereya out of the Derby.
April 25, 2010 at 13:32 #292407Eskendereya out of Derby
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Eskendereya will not run in the 136th Kentucky Derby on Saturday at Churchill Downs, trainer Todd Pletcher said Sunday morning.
