Maybe there’s a slight recency bias in this thinking, but isn’t Karl Burke quite an underappreciated trainer?
He operates at around the 13% strike rate with all his horses since JAN 14 but what is more interesting is how well his horses do in most categories profit + Loss.
Then when you look atthe high level success he has had with the likes of Quiet Reflection, Havana Grey, Laurens, Unfortunately and even Raydiance- listed winner and cost 7.5k he really does well in my book. Especially when you consider the fact none of these horses have come from massive owners either, alright J.Dance has spent a few quid, but he’s not Sheikh Dance!
Great trainer in my book

He is a very good trainer and may not be fully recognised because of his ban but that’s just guessing really.
James’ piece on KB will be interesting when it comes out, as long as it’s not too scientific!
