Fine the gentleman 40,000 sterling and suspend his license from Nov. through Jan. A just punishment don’t you think?
July 10, 2009 at 13:44 #238884We haven’t seen the decision of the Panel yet.
July 10, 2009 at 14:10 #238891It’s possible they don’t want to release the news to clash with the inaugural running of The DG Taxis Get You Home Safely Handicap at Nottingham.
Can you imagine how gutting and galling it would be to DG Taxis Get You Home Safely if national press coverage of their important sponsorship was decimated?
July 10, 2009 at 14:58 #238898Or indeed this afternoon with the running of the Goudhurst Game Handicap at Ascot.
July 10, 2009 at 16:27 #238923Come on lads, give the authorities a chance.

Given the Lynch ‘penalty’ you can hardly blame people for being sceptical. Allowed to keep their ill-gotten gains and make £40k for the privilege.
July 10, 2009 at 17:16 #238937A chance to do what? They screwed up Fallon for two years before finding him innocent. Can you imagine if he had been riding the horse that Henderson drugged up? He was champion jockey riding for Coolmore. No three months suspension for him And he was INNOCENT.No retribution no restoring his name or income. Two years waiting for his trial without a ride No keeping his job in the USA or Canada or Australia. No settlements out of court . How many chances do they need? What a bunch of incompetents.
July 10, 2009 at 21:56 #239015I suspect a fudge is coming ,large fine plus a short ban , all will be roses in a few weeks …….it will all have blown over
Lets hope for racing they dont catch anyone, in the meantime as heavens knows how this bunch will ever manage to get it right
its sad really , racing’s integrity is now a pliable commodity , expediency seems to rule the day

Didn’t Fallon ride in Ireland for Coolmore whilst awaiting the trial?
His current ban is for a failed drugs test and as such complies with the WADA guidelines (which French racing is signed up to) for such an offense.
July 12, 2009 at 09:32 #239227Yes he did; .the cheeky devil. How dare he ride while waiting two years for his trial.Coolmore have more respect for justice than the British racing authorities. What does his current ban have to do with the price of potatoes? It came from the French and was legitimate. He tested positive. I have no complaint with that.
July 12, 2009 at 13:28 #239243Haps, if there is a way of ******* this up – the BHA will find it – and they don’t care how long it takes!
BTW are you running HF on Thursday?

July 13, 2009 at 21:05 #239451Is there *still* nothing on this? It’s getting ridiculous.
July 13, 2009 at 21:30 #239454Obviously Simon Clare hasn’t given his permission yet
July 16, 2009 at 12:12 #239788Still no news , gosh this fudge must take a lot of working out ……
Wonder if any plea bargaining is in place , this seems to be the way forward ,, and we thought the Jockey club was bad , sadly no ,they were brilliant compared to this bunch

July 16, 2009 at 12:44 #239794" The Disciplinary Panel of the BHA has been conducting an Enquiry into allegations of breach of the Rules of Racing made against Fergal Lynch, Darren Williams, Karl Burke and Miles Rodgers relating to various supposed dealings between them between March and August 2004.
…the cases against Lynch and Williams were finally concluded on 25 June 2009, before the Enquiry into Burke’s and Rodgers’s activities had ended…,"
