How did you rate on Friday?
The problem with any results regarding speed figures from Newbury’s weekend fixtures, have to be taken with a pinch of salt due to the rail movements putting an extra 110yds on to the juvenile race distance, making the standard times irrelevant.
I attempted to correct the distance variance using linear regression, and arrived at this speed figure for Kasakh Noir.27Nov15 Nby 16.5Sft C33yH 6K 75
There seems to be no limit now to how clerks of the courses can alter the race distances due to rail movements, the biggest culprit being Fakenham where recently you had to add 212yds to a race distance, the last 3 meetings held there were the same.
