What a great race and delighted for SDS and the horse. I remember people on here doubting he we would ever be a G1 horse. I think we know now! CDA ran a stormer in defeat and once again we are left to marvel at how incredible Frankel was.
Total £1896.80

What a great thread Joni………..You aint a one trick pony mate!
First thing I thought after todays champion was how easily ‘your’ horse beat the first 2. Its been a good flat season but I’m ready for the Jumps now, lets hope we can organise a TRF meet-up at Newbury in May is what I say!October 21, 2013 at 15:23 #455724Thanks Gordio!!! Really appreciate that from you mate!
It is funny but despite some great racing and a profit at the end of the thread I still feel like it has been a year to forget.
No Frankel and the loss of my dear old mate has taken away a lot of the pleasure for me. But I think I am slowly getting excited again and can hopefully look forward t next season. And then of course it is only 2 more years to SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF FRANKEL come along and then I will be absolutely UNBEARABLE!!!!
Looking forward to reading your NH thread this year and backing a few winners courtesy of you and your crew and definitely seeing you in May if not before!

December 19, 2013 at 20:50 #462286Just a quickie to say thank you to those of you that mentioned me on The Poster of the Year thread. Very nice of you though I have to say I feel a bit of a fraud as I only post during the flat.
Anyway thanks again and may I wish all my fellow soldiers on the DLAP a very Merry Christmas!!!

December 19, 2013 at 22:56 #462299And a prosperous new Flat season.
Shocked this thread didn’t make it in the Thread of the year to be honest.Blackbeard to conquer the World
March 2, 2014 at 21:07 #469736Well I’m a long way behind the Ginge but I am belatedly following him in on
CDA
for the Champion. It has been bucketing it down all day here in West London and I can only see the ground being on the soft side next Saturday. As Ginge says, if that is the case, who else is going to run? Trading Leather won’t, Dec of War, won’t, Toronado, Sky Lantern, The Fugue won’t. Will they run Farrh on soft ground over 10f or would they rather go for the QEII? I know which one I’d choose. The only complication is they have DA already. Even so CDA looks a good thing and I’ll take the 2-1 even though I am kicking myself that I didn’t take the bigger prices earlier in the week.
Today I have had just the one small bet but I likes the way
Squire Osbaldeston
won his maiden and expect him to go well today.
£50 win Squire Osbaldeston – 3-1 – non runner 5.15 Goodwood
£500 win Cirrus Des Aigles – 2-1 – Champion Stakes
I see Squire Osbaldeston won at Kempton the other night for his new trainer
Lady C has had a decent strike rate from her small string of runners during the winter months though which hopefully is a sign of things to come
I know it’s early in the year but has anyone heard of any Lady C horses burning up the gallops at WP?
