Not sure you’ve noticed but mark johnston has been sending out an army of well bred newcomers and lightly raced sorts on the all weather lately, and their all running well.
Tomorrow he sends out the best of the lot, the very well bred SON VIDA. Its had one race 13 months ago and absolutely hosed up, beating the useful Kishanda eased down. Looked a very useful prospect but hasnt been seen since.
Runs 3:15 wolves tomorrow, hopefully make up for the lack of jumps racing.

I just could not make a case for

    Son Vida

    winning today.

    When he beat

    Kishanda

he received a speed rating from me of only

    39

    which was very poor and

    Kishanda

best rating of last year was only

    70

which showed him to be very average.

Today race is a class 4 and my par for this class is

    79

    and

    Archie Rice

    has achieved two

    84

speed ratings in his last three races making him favourite to turn over

    Son Vida

    .

It will be very interesting to see if

    Son Vida

    can improve

    46lbs

    to finish in front of

    Archie rice

    , personnally I can’t see it

    Son Vida

has improved his rating from his last run from

    39

    up to

    64

and as this was a class 4 race, his rating of 64 did not even break my par for a class 6 which is

    66

    .

I see that Mark Johnston has entered

    Son Vida

in a class 3 contest on the 11th at Lingfield (AW) and my par for a class 3 is

    87

    so he has to find

    23lbs

just to equal the class par.

    3.55 Lingfield Standard 1m2f:

    11/2/12

    Archie Rice 19-Jan-12 Wol 9St C4Hc 4K

    84

    Cashelgar 14-Jan-12 Lin 10St C3Hc 6K

    54

    Son Vida 04-Feb-12 Wol 9St/Slw C4Hc 4K

    64

    Sonoran Sands 27-Aug-11 Nmk 10GS C3Hc 8K

    84

    Tartan Trip 07-Jan-12 Lin 8St C4Hc 4K

    84

    William Haigh 01-Jan-12 Sth 8St C3Hc 6K

    If

    Cashelgar

runs in this race he is bound to be favourite :D
