Fame and Glorys victory in last years Irish Derby was one of the most impressive Group 1 victorys of the season! His 2nd to Sea the Stars was rock solid too,in the Epsom Derby,he will win a Group 1 this year too and anyone who knows their horses will know that.Yet there are plenty contributors to this thread that seem to think he was beaten fair and square on Sunday against horses that will never be good enough to compete against his like again! Unbelievable! Fame and Glory will run in a Group 1 next time,i hope you lot bet against him and learn from it! I for one knows he is a proper Group 1 horse who should have sauntered past Sundays field!I look forward to Fame and Glory Quietening his doubters!
Its Coming,Tattersalls Gold Cup should start the ball rolling after todays "Even" Gallop!
May 3, 2010 at 16:17 #293958still not convinced fame and glorys fully fit yet even after its win today. think theres alot more to come.

A lot more to come del boy!Did you notice how he never really let himself stride out,he wants a softer surface to show just what a proper Group 1 horse he really is! Popmurphy!!!!!! Some folk just cant see the wood from the trees Reet!
May 3, 2010 at 16:40 #293968Yeh, imo he was a bit sluggish, and the whip wasnt even drawn on him! coronation cup or prince of wales, he will take some beating. my main banker in the ten to follow.

Workforce has been entered up but remained absent. Wonder if he’s difficult to train. Impressed more than any other maiden winner last year, but again, although well entered up, remained the only 2 year old start. Would’ve liked to put him in more than 2 lists of totetentofollow, just wondered how many times we’ll see him. Without doubt has potential if all is well.
Had a fair start to my totetentofollow. One list with 3 winners. Strawberrydaqueri, Special Duty and Fame And Glory.
Have Canford Cliffs in 3 lists, in the "Champion Sprinter" slot, wish they’d go that route. Seems to me asthough the reason why British sprinters are not as good these days, could be reluctance of trainers to run their best 3 year year olds over the distance. If there’s any possibility of a mile win they’re kept in that category.
I dont criticise Hughes in the 2000; rode it like he felt unsure of staying, not wishing to go for everything until late. Did well to settle him early.
Value Is EverythingMay 4, 2010 at 17:09 #294116nice on, im not sure about workforce, i was really looking forward to this kingsfort. but im not a big fan of godolphin and dont rate saeed bin suroor as the best of trainers. i wouldnt be so sure about canford not getting a mile, he wasnt stopping really, i think they should run him at that from now on, with the coventry stakes tactics. do you reckon they will take him over to the breeders cup meeting?

I can feel a song coming on "Words dont come easy to me….."
June 5, 2010 at 00:54 #298692Where will Canford go next, TAPK?
What is it with these alleged sprinters that keep winning group ones over a mile and further?

I’m a bit ignorant. Is this the song you’re referring to?

If so, I’m a bit confused.

Adoptive father of two. The patron saint of lower-grade fare. A gently critical friend of point-to-pointing. Kindness is a political act.

Onthesteal,it looks like connections of
Canford Cliffs
will stick to the mile as he showed he gets the trip no problem! Personally i feel he has plenty left in the tank over 6f and would love to see him take on
Awzaan
in the July Cup but it wont be the last time i"m wrong!
