Rode 3 consecutive grade 1 winners Saturday at Belmont Park. Roger Varian’s Nahrain was among the trio as she landed a huge purse in the Flower Bowl. Not sure if Mr Murtagh managed that on Arc day 2000 but its certainly a rare feat.

Good bit of info for nostalgia and these guys did well in their jobs to be in a position to ride Group horses.

However riding a treble on 3 strongly fancied horses compared to someone like Franny Norton riding a 20,000/1 treble on the same card on 3 rags or Frankie doing is thing at Ascot it’s kinda lame.

Don’t mean to be a stick in the mud but good luck to them but it doesn’t have me jumping up and down with excitement.

I know Pat Eddery rode 3 Arc winners on the trot but I didn’t he also rode 3 Group winners in one day somewhere as well?
