All I’ve heard for the last couple of weeks is the likelihood that Sir Des Champs will run in the RSA, which to me means he probably will head to the Jewson. I’m not sweating yet
February 15, 2012 at 16:27 #391496With Last Instalment out of the RSA, I’d say Sir Des Champs will be running in that now rather than this. Only reason he was going to run in this was because Gigginstown had a strong hand in the RSA.
February 15, 2012 at 16:33 #391498I am so gutted. First of my ante post teeth kick ins.
I still hope that they would rather have one in both the jewson and rsa with FL and Sir Des.
With Last instalment covered from 12s in rsa and SDC from 12s in this it’s wishful thinking and captain chris all over!!!!
Novice chasers with same connections are killer. Lesson probably not learnt, i’ll do the same next year.
February 15, 2012 at 16:51 #391503Emergency action plan. Increased with 1 pt on bobs worth. Followed by 3 pts on sdc in rsa at 14s.
Basically just insurance for the large investment in the jewson. I think he could well win either. I wouldn’t increase the rsa bet though. i thinkit is a lot tougher than the jewson.
Simply if mullins wants an easy win he has to go jewson. The pace he has been running the final sections of his races is outstanding. he will crush all before him in this.
Opens the door to Bog Warrior coming too but maybe not.
First Liet could well be ideal for he rsa the way he finishes on the hill and ground. He was closing with every stride against last instalment when they met last and the ground would have made it much more interesting.
February 15, 2012 at 16:51 #391505Oh and i think davy Russell will have a huge say in this. A ride in both races???? What will he push for.
February 15, 2012 at 17:10 #391512Doubt they’ll risk Bog Warrior being ground dependent given jarred shins have done for Last Inst.
What’s certain between now and 13th March, this roller coaster is going to have plenty ups and downs with a few churning stomachs!!
February 15, 2012 at 23:44 #391599Oooohhhhhhhh Sir Des Champs is so clearly RSA bound now
February 16, 2012 at 11:04 #391661Cristal Bonus and Invictus not declared for the Scilly Isles.
Cristal Bonus has no other entries at the moment, so unless he runs next week at Kempton or somewhere else mid-week, I’d say his chances of success at Cheltenham are not good.
February 16, 2012 at 12:10 #391667Can be a mistake to ask a young novice too much of themselves
I still cannot believe Hobbs allowed Quinz to run in the Grand National after winning the Racing Post chase.
February 16, 2012 at 12:16 #391669He was never going to get that kind of handicap mark again.

Why? Have First Lieutenant and Bog Warrior?
February 16, 2012 at 18:21 #391697He was never going to get that kind of handicap mark again.
And ? They could have ruined him
February 16, 2012 at 23:33 #391770Davy Russell has said during the Tipperary Festival preview that he thinks it’s unlikely that SDC and FL will both run in the RSA.
There was reportedly a bit of feeling however that Sir Des Champs would go for the RSA while First Lieutenant would go for the Jewson.

Read in the Racing Post today that Mouse said First Lieutenant will definitely run in the RSA.
February 16, 2012 at 23:59 #391775Yes it was said that Mouse would push incredibly hard for the RSA as well, but Mullins wants to run SDC too.
February 18, 2012 at 18:47 #392294Lovely form boost today for both Solix and Champion Court with Invictus winning at Ascot.
February 18, 2012 at 22:19 #392345Fancy Solix for this now given the form boost today.Jumped very well last time out and looks a very solid EW bet at a best priced 12/1.Also this race could cut up quite badly with many favouring other races.
