All negative
Moaners saying about gambling, animal cruelty, cost of racing etc
These are the people they are targeting. Ones that don’t want to go anyway because if they did then they would have gone already or maybe they have been and it wasn’t for them.
Waste of moneyBest way to promote go racing is produce a quality product, let the sport speak for itself and those that are interested will go.
It’s a bit like when you are on holiday and they have workers outside restaurants trying to coax you in. It turns you off as they sound a bit too desperate for your euros

Chester having a few less thousand on the gate is a good thing. Only their accountants will be unhappy. I might start going again if there are fewer drunken idiots to spoil the day. I have noticed fewer people in Liverpool obviously on their way to Chester when the racing is on, so the reported fall in attendance makes sense.
I was interested in the comments from the clerk of the course at Hamilton Park. She seemed very pleased with herself for putting so much water on the track. Perhaps trainers who want fast ground for their horses are going elsewhere?
She also mentioned their good prize money. Another case of owners complaining about prize money but not supporting tracks which offer it? Or is it a sign of Hamilton’s remoteness from a lot of training centres and some trainers not wanting to spend a fortune on fuel just to get there and with no guarantee of winning or covering their costs?

I wouldn’t go as far as to say “I stayed to watch,” but I was in no rush to get away after racing, I hung around chatting for a while and so I did hear quite a bit of it – I’m no judge of these things but it seemed a passable imitation to me.

I’d guess his followers are either fans from teams he has played for that are into football and either go racing anyway or don’t have an interest in horse racing.
or bored old housewives that sit down watching the tv all day viewing the one show and wouldn’t go racing incase they bought back Jeremy Kyle show and they wouldn’t want to miss that

Chezza, like Hughesey, was right about this, but there were penguins at the South Pole that could have told you this was a waste of money.
Giving pots of money to marketeers who don’t really understand a product, allowing them to form some superficial idea what the product is all about, then waste those pots of money promoting it on that false premise they just dreamed up was, is, and always will be the worst idea since David Cormack said: “Oh, go on, then – what’s the worst that could happen?” before letting Chezza back on TRF.
