Not been a fan of racing that long; can anyone fill me in on what hapopenend with him? He had horses with Nichols including a share in Silviniaco Conti and then he beroke that ownership partnership in 2013. Then in 2016 he siad he was getting out of racing and he sold Buveur D’air and Silviniaco Conti.
Now he’s back and has horses with Nicky Henderson, Willie Mullins, Alan King and Olly Murphy; but none with Paul Nichols? Does anyone know more about it? Did he fall out with Nichols? There can’t have been a long time between when he annouced he was getting out of racing and then he has 20 horses last season split betweeen Mullins and Henderson including Stormy Ireland and Laurina.
Weird that one minute he’s breaking up a partnershoip, then he’s out of the game and then he’s back in the game in a big way. I’d be interested in hearing more if anyone knows.
He was in a partnership previously, Potensis, which had to be broken up due to fallings out i believe.
Think the Nicholls thing may be a bloodstock thing rather than an issue, getting Mullins’ lads and Bromley for Hendo etc. to source his hosses but that’s more an educated guess than fact TBH. I know i’d prefer those sourcing them than TMB
He seemed to take a keen interest with WPM after Giggy left so WPM may have phoned up/struck a deal with him which got him back in heavily with Mullins, again thats 2+2 rather than fact.
