A huge field of 18 runners means the first three home will need some luck in running.
Drawn in stall 5 is
Liberty Island
Ran a stunning race last month in the 1000 guineas to come around the field from last to first.
The final sectional around the home turn was record breaking.
She won’t get away with that in this company, so an inside berth should see her go on from the front.
Provided there are no traffic problems and she gets a clear run,
Liberty Island
Win
Kona Coast
Each way
Form: 1-222
Could be the fly in the ointment over this trip.
A proven stayer she has been overhauled by liberty Island in recent races and an even pace may see her step up from her string of seconds.
Damian Lane is the jockey.May 21, 2023 at 11:23 #1648634Could you ask them to start it a bit later next year, please, Sam?

Could be an exceptional horse to say the least.

No idea what the form is worth, but I’d love to see her take on Equinox later in the year.
