Is classy for sure over 2 miles, but is anyone going to go steaming in today at short odds against a couple of horses – Iron Man and Fundamentalist – who are no mugs and are proven over today’s trip.
Any thoughts ?
I think this is an interesting contest. Jack The Giant is unexposed and has proven his well-being with a couple of (virtual) penalty kicks over hurdles, but will probably have to put in a good performance to win today.
The thing with his rivals today is that two cannot really be entertained – one being simply not good enough and the other (Butlers Cabin) not likely to be able to get competitive over this trip, even if connections wanted him to.
Furthermore, of the other pair, Iron Man is a slightly iffy jumper at times, whilst Fundamentalist wants (needs?) better ground.
If Iron Man gets round ok, I think he will make JTG pull out all the stops and makes more appeal at 4/1+ than the favourite, but this isn’t a race I’ll be playing in…
