I’ve no particular love for the French but surely sending them Chapman was a step too far don’t they dislike us enough already?
As he’s over there do we HAVE to accept him back?
    good luck to all

That Sky Bet “Racing is Hard, Betting on it shouldn’t be” advert which is constantly shown on SSR is starting to really grate.

It’s on ITV too CAS. Grated on me from the first time I saw it. There was a brief spell when they were running an erectable disfunction one in the racing ad breaks so that was confusing too! Also that William Hill “Sweet Caroline” one. I’ve always hated that song. Can’t believe that it’s played literally everywhere now.

Did I hear Luke H say how fit & well Snow Lantern looked before the Sun Chariot?

Absolutely with you on that one, Tonge. It’s a mediocre song from 40+ years ago that has no connection with any sport whatsoever but since “Bumble” popularised it at 20/20 cricket you can’t get away from it – it’s like some bizarre rallying cry to the great unthinking general public.

The fact that Hills are now using it shows the contempt in which they hold their “customers” (See also any of the appalling contributions from P Power)

In all fairness, I was perfectly happy (if a little puzzled as to why Cumani was wearing a hat indoors inside a television studio) watching ITV Racing on mute on Sunday.

Then also perfectly happy watching the remaining races via betting sites (also on mute).

I believe it has become the semi-official song of the Boston Red Sox.

They are very welcome to it!

I keep hoping it’ll be exposed as the drug song it almost certainly is. The opening bars are as welcome to my ears as The Crazy Frog

Which numpty came up with yesterday’s brainless stat that ONLY 4 favs had won the Ces since 1993? After neatly leaving out the 1992 winning fav Vintage Crop how many winning favs do they think there should have been?
ONLY 4 favs have won the Ces since 2006, why not use that stat instead?

Don’t know who the bigger numpties are, the person who came up with the stat or Oli Bell and Brian Gleason for reading it out.

Love Ruby, though. His first comment after the Morgiana was that Echoes In Rain had run too keen. Handy, because the commentator managed not to mention it at all in running.

I’d hold my own against that reality star boy and one or two others when it comes to Racing knowledge past and present, i just may not have the temperament for it i.e. calling one of ’em silly or stoopid and getting the boot lol

Broadsword, you could see with your own eyes Echo’s in rain, didn’t settle.
Rubys post race analysis is excellent.

That was my point, Troy; everyone watching could see the horse didn’t settle, and it surely contributed to her defeat – for a commentator to miss it completely in a three-horse race was pretty poor.
Ruby is different class – spots the things we don’t see as well as the stuff we do.
