Have you got a TiVo box Crepello? I’ve found with mine that it won’t accept series links for ITV Racing on both channels at the same time, although they have the same title. Assume it is a Virgin Media glitch rather than ITV’s fault.
April 16, 2017 at 23:04 #1297066Yes I do have the Tivo box, it might be part of the problem, but it wasn’t recognising anything, because as Grey Dolphin says they keep changing the titles of the shows and Tivo or what device you use can’t recognise it. I have set up all the Craven Meeting, so I hope it records, great it’s on again.
I have also contacted ITV and told them it’s a shabby service.April 17, 2017 at 07:35 #1297088<p abp=”457″>Yes I do have the Tivo box, it might be part of the problem, but it wasn’t recognising anything, because as Grey Dolphin says they keep changing the titles of the shows and Tivo or what device you use can’t recognise it. They’ll have got you down as either rabble without a cause or loopy

I have also contacted ITV and told them it’s a shabby service.I have a Tivo box and I originally set up the series link on ITV 4, and then under the manage series links option amended the ITV 4 link to record on all channels. It seems to work just fine – records both ITV1 and ITV4.
April 17, 2017 at 10:42 #1297106Thank you for the tip MissCavie, I’ll do that.
As a matter of interest do you keep cavies?April 17, 2017 at 12:42 #1297141Thank you for the tip MissCavie, I’ll do that.
As a matter of interest do you keep cavies?I did, several years ago when I still lived with my parents. Unfortunately I don’t have the space or time these days to devote to them, so have to content myself with a solitary hamster. Fascinating little creatures though – they make fabulous pets

Hope you get the series link sorted
April 17, 2017 at 17:44 #1297182I used to keep them in my teens, used to breed them. Lovely animals, especially the pedigree ones with their dropped ears and roman noses. I’d love some, but I have two cats!
They make great pets, better than rabbits for children.April 18, 2017 at 20:58 #1297319A blast from the past with four races from Newmarket being shown tomorrow and Thursday.
Not sure when C4 abandoned the Craven meeting but it was always one of my favourites. I remember Chalon winning the Nell Gwyn as one of the legs of a winning 5p lucky 15 (shared with my twin), we were 13 or 14 and I think we won around £70, a kings ransom when you only had £1 a week pocket money.April 18, 2017 at 22:50 #1297328Pity ITV are only showing one race each day from the true home of racing Cheltenham, still I can see full coverage on RUK
April 19, 2017 at 20:36 #1297415Nice to see the old clips today (more please) – Flying Water looked really impressive and One In A Million literally fell over the line.
April 21, 2017 at 15:06 #1297642Really love the Tabor interviews, such candid thoughts of his charges chances !!! a complete waste of everyone’s time.
April 22, 2017 at 11:21 #1297805Oh dear Matt Chapman is being his usual annoying self today, he’s trying too hard to be like John McCririck. Wish Brian Gleason would replace him permanently.
April 22, 2017 at 13:28 #1297845I recorded the midweek racing and watched it on the evening after work. I found it to be a very enjoyable way to pass a couple of hours. Having no bets on made it stress free and just an entertainment programme, looking for pointers for the future. The clips from the racing vault are great for those of us old enough to miss the old riding stars. Lear Fan edging out Rainbow Quest was a cracking finish. I think Oli Bell does a great job on a Saturday morning, Matt just emphasised how it isn’t as easy as it looks to make the morning show flow. That said, I like Matts exuberant attitude, it’s much preferred in my household to the old channel 4 output where knowledge was given to us but with less desire. I often thought that the channel four team were somewhat aloof and resented giving a straightforward selection.
The other positive of course is a lack of adverts for dubai holidays and airlines and no sign of Tanya in the betting ring.April 22, 2017 at 14:32 #1297857As though Ed Chamberlin saying that Midday won The Oaks wasn’t bad enough, Luke Harvey has just stated that Frankel never ran beyond a mile. I like them both as presenters but such basic facts should always be correct.
Oh dear.
April 22, 2017 at 14:33 #1297858Dear Doctor, Luke Harvey has just informed the world that Frankel never ran beyond a mile.
Bloody hopeless.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Luke said he thinks Frankel would of won over 10f……

Charles Darwin to conquer the World
April 22, 2017 at 14:50 #1297860Well Ed was sort of right as Midday did win an Oaks but it was the Yorkshire version but Harvey should stick to NH
