Thursday August 1
Good wood 2.15 Class 2 – 9fulrlongs – 13 declared
RED AVENGER
7/1 early doors Wm. Hill BOG
D/H 2nd 11/2

There are alternatives but with 2 selections how are split or Dutched etc. Not having the rules is a major handicap and gamble!!!
Goodwood 4.50 Class 2 – 7F – 16 declared
Pythagorean2nd 7/2
& Muharrib
Ffos Las 7.15 Class 4 – 2m – 11 declared
Gabrials King & Presto Volante2nd 9/2
Red Avenger’s 2nd was in my opinion a reasonably good result having opted to remain within the rules.
I think what can be taken away from the other two races is to do nothing when there are two which meet the criteria and am sure it will all average out over a period.

Happy days Bill. Keep this up and you will be odds on for that poster of the year thing. Sssssshhhhhhhhh……..

It was difficult to settle on a suitable race this morning with either no qualifiers or perhaps two and so the indication being there will never be too many races on one day. I know we are all different but just one, maybe two races will do me fine.
Musselburgh 7.50
– Class 3 – 13 declared – 5 furlongs.
AVON BREEZE
9/2 early with Wm. Hill
Lost
5 furlongs would not be my distance of choice but until either the original rules turn up or data indicates otherwise I guess all races will have to be considered, even the "donkey derby’s" but given a choice on the day I will err towards a better class and a longer distance.
I have again heard from CD Systems explaining a high work volume this week due to Goodwood has prevented an archive search but promised it will be done.
Racing Ahead I am guessing if it is included within the magazine it will not be before the August issue but knowing printers have deadlines it is more likely to be September.
Over 50 hits here yesterday, so if anyone has knowledge of any organisation who may be able to help please post any suggestions here.

So fascinated am I with this method or system, call them as you want, almost everything else is starting to become discarded. I am enjoying the prospect of fair and reasonable priced winners rather than the skimpy short priced favourites I have followed for what is perhaps far too long.
I have always believed within this sport there is a place for us all to follow our individual preferences and thank goodness there are those who enjoy being a layer but for me there is nothing quite like finding a winner and shouting them home,
sometimes!
Keeping to the 7 furlong minimum today for no other reason than restricting the race numbers but still have 3 to keep my hopes alive.
Goodwood 2.40 Class 2 – 12 Furlongs – 11 declared.
LONDON BRIDGE
9/1(Boyle’s) 4 places at 1/4.
Non runner
Thirsk 5.25 Class 5 – 8F – 17 declared
ROCKET RONNIE
9/2 (BetVic) 4 places at 1/4.
3rd 9/2

Hamilton 8.15 Class 5 – 8F – 11 declared
SPAVENTO
8/1 (P.Power) 3 places 1/5.

August 3, 2013 at 19:37 #447572Transparency is a word much overused these days without any meaningful sincerity by such folk as our elected political leaders
Nathan
.
Now if you want a "funny hand-shake" brigade here I am not your man. I am sure TRF has little to fear from such places but if their insecurities require us to be driven "underground" it is not the place and they are not the people I thought them to be.
As you are aware I am doing my level best to turn up something I mislaid far too long ago, I have asked for help and am pleased and grateful of such assistance from kind souls as yourself but if we have to "message" in code for fear of admonishment it will never be found and the membership here will not benefit.
I fear not of banishment having suffered at the hands of likes of a certain lady because she was not able to cope with her opinions being shown as shallow as her vanity and therefore I worry not about such silliness here knowing I have not been rude or unkind to anyone or done them any harm.

August 3, 2013 at 21:41 #447585Bill I’ve posted a message in TH and got a reply from icebreaker
This particular fella in Castleford was running a wholesale horseracing systems business. He would sell a "pack" of, say, five systems bundled for around a fiver. Each individual system would ordinarily cost around £20 from the original vendors. He got into a bit of bother for doing it — basically pirating systems and selling them on at a huge discount. He had a very large mailing list of customers, but eventually faded from the scene with the onset of the internet.
Sorry I can’t help with the particular system in question. Just that your post brought back memories.Charles Darwin to conquer the World

I remember them well also.
However it was 20 plus years ago that I used them.
I used to get wads of systems from them rammed in small brown envelopes.
Sadly I chucked them all out when I packed in the horses.
Today I decided to give racing a go again and came across this site.
Anyway I do remember the system you’re using bill but I don’t remember the rules,so not much help i’m afraid.
Was it called the midas touch, for some reason that rings a bell but I had so many of their systems I could be getting my wires crossed.
Anyway i’ll keep thinking and maybe it will come back to me.
August 4, 2013 at 12:22 #447627The MIDAS TOUCH?
It may well have been called that
Carbontarget
I really do not remember, these days I have trouble remembering my own name.
I will email them and ask if such a system had similar rules but they may be getting the hump with me because they have not replied these past two times.
At the very least it is another avenue to pursue and thank you for the suggestion.

August 4, 2013 at 13:04 #447631I have just scrolled through 36 pages of Castle Sporting’s available systems being a total of 365, one for each day in the year, looking for one entitled
The Midas Touch
.
Sadly it was not there unless it has been re-named. Each has a synopsis but without details of the method it is impossible to say if I passed it by.
I have emailed again and hope they reply this time.
At least
carbontarget
has given me something to enquire about and perhaps something for them to check on.
