Here is my list of sires so far;
I’ve included those mentioned in the earlier threads to add interest. However, its a randomly chosen list which will of course alter as others are added. I suppose I should work to a list of about 100 – that should give me a useful guide. I have the seed of an idea of possibly using the list for selective bets ?
(the ranking is done by taking top ten runners in years 2011 & 2010, by prize monies earned, divided by no of runs and then as % of 500k. The bracketed figures are the Racing Post Ratings averages for these top ten in each year)1 Cadoudal 45% (146)
of Long Run & Big Bucks fame

Cadoudal had so few runners last season (15) and only 3 individual winners, I’m sure that his runners would show a huge level stakes deficit if backed blind. As he died in 2007 there he may still have one or two more runners of merit emerge especially as most of his better progeny are from his later books.
I’m not sure if you are trying to identify potential stars but generally, when a NH stallion begins to shine the chance to send him a mare is no longer possible. Looking at the sales, competition for Yeats progeny was very keen, though as a son of Sadler’s Wells, it is hardly surprising.January 6, 2012 at 18:36 #385783I’m not sure but think I may have heard somewhere that a lot of Witness Box’s are wrong on their wind
Also wrong in the
head
according to a startling number of my notes and Racing Post comments in running. Many seem ungenuine in one way or another.
January 8, 2012 at 13:07 #386050Taking these sire ratings a step further I ventured a few bob on the scoop 6 looking soley at the better bred runners as per this list. Although I am still broke the results were better than any of my previous exploits. I have been a form student for years and tried anything and everything. This week armed with my list, I found three winners and 5 were placed.
I am now a complete convert for the breeding as my betting basis !
