please dont talk down to me grasshopper explain how handicaps work i am a genius when it comes to horse racing and it aint only me who says it i no i am new on here and i dont wana argue with any1 unless i find them talkin alot of rubbish and you aint you do speak your opinion and i think your right it was a brilliant perfromance especially for a novice and i probably tackled you bout your 1st post to strike up conversation i reckon he coulda pushed best mate close in the gold cup if hed of ran as a novice.i came home the evening best mate won it the third time and i thought fit and well strong flow has a big shout next year but the injury took his top class edge away and wasnt same horse since.
October 3, 2005 at 14:46 #66960Strong flow joins a load of Hennessy winners to fall by the waste side. Its a bad luck race to win.
Teeton Mill , Coome Hill , Gingembre /Be my Royal , Ever Blessed.
October 22, 2005 at 08:34 #2373aparently had loads of rain, will be good to see him over 3 miles round cheltenham. it looks quite a good race too.
October 22, 2005 at 09:47 #67648Looks a good race to get 3 wins on the board before Haydock/Newbury, and some proper competition.
October 24, 2005 at 12:07 #67649he’s also being entered at carlisle on sunday.
October 24, 2005 at 15:26 #67653I bet Roblestar is wondering what you’re on about GH!
October 24, 2005 at 15:41 #67655cheers for that GH. He needs a few more runs to get fit, he doesn’t do a stitch at home. the step up in trip and softer ground should bring out a big improvement.
Does anybody know if the race is on tv? going to have to pull a sickie! don’t want the boss cathing me!
October 24, 2005 at 16:55 #67656rob
seems the race is not on normal tv (boo) but should be on RUK you could always sneak off to bookies or better still ask" boss" to treat ya to a day at cheltenham
best o luck hope all goes to plan.
October 24, 2005 at 17:24 #67657i can feel a bit of a stomach bug coming on;) , the plan goes: feel ill tomorrow afternoon and go home early, then phone in sick on wed!!
anybody goin to cheltenham?
October 24, 2005 at 18:17 #67658I shall most likely be at Cheltenham on Wednesday.
Just starting to look at IG’s race now.
October 24, 2005 at 21:04 #67659
Unfortunately there’s no way I can pull a sickie on Wednesday- I’m trying to plan next Tuesday though lol;)
On the subject of TV coverage, did anyone see a story a few weeks ago about Racing UK linking up with Corals meaning that Racing Replays from top-class tracks like Cheltenham, Newmarket and Newbury are shown free-to-air?
If so, has this started yet and at what time- Straight after each day’s racing???
October 25, 2005 at 13:13 #67660Vague recollection think it was the races on Channel 4 that will be free to watch or something similar.
Looked on the racing uk site and the cuttings library of the RP site and can’t see anything.
I often push 432 in hope!
Back to the thread, good luck RL, being positive IG will win more easily back at Cheltenham and over 3m.
October 25, 2005 at 14:35 #67661COME ON ZETA’S RIVER!!!
October 25, 2005 at 16:45 #67662A good test tomorrow. Several last time out winners, a useful Nicholls horse plus the Pipe trained Zeta’s River.
October 25, 2005 at 19:05 #67663Think we will see an altogether more impressive performance from IG on a track and trip that is made for him. He has never looked like falling in any of his races and these fences could be the making of him.
October 25, 2005 at 21:14 #67664
Luckily I put Racing UK on last week and they were showing Rooster Booster’s race at Huntingdon live free-to-air so I don’t know what the situation is but anyway good luck tomorrow RL and irisgift1 if you’re still around, as Aidan says perfect conditions for the horse tomorrow and I want him to win every race until he meets Best Mate.
October 25, 2005 at 21:20 #67665I look forward to it.
IG has a terrific engine and, with that being more of a factor tomorrow, I hope he’ll show us a big step up in performance.
