Simple thread to trial a method, not so much a system just trying to find winners at big prices. Only a few rules:
Must be at least 10/1 on the EP’s and will have more on the win part on Betfair and an each-way bet with the bookmakers.
These will mainly be on the turf but looks like i’ve picked the wrong time of year to start – can’t see turf racing for at least a week.

Progressive on the turf over the summer – disappointed on his latest all-weather start but had placed over the distance/surface previously. Been running well over hurdles, including in a Class 3 at Leicester to Keki Buku at the end of last month.1pt win 1pt place @ 14/1 (Stan James)
1pt Win @ 16.0 (betfair)January 8, 2010 at 12:16 #26875215:45 Southwell – Cragganmore Creek
Out of form in recent months but has a great record at Southwell (though well beaten in his 3 most recent starts) and his one start under todays rider Kelly Harrison resulted in a second place finish in the equivalent of a Class 6 at the start of 2009 over todays CD. He stays well having won over 2m here in 2008 and I expect a big run against relatively poor opposition.1pt win 1pt place @ 16/1 (General)
1pt Win @ 19.5 (Betfair)January 8, 2010 at 15:50 #26878515:45 Cragganmore Creek – 2nd

January 8, 2010 at 17:37 #268810Give over Gord, this AW bashing from folk on this forum is getting quite tedious, it’s not to everyones cup of tea we’ve established that but there are plenty of feasable betting opportunities on the AW as any other code.

All weather racing is fine for the under achievers of the horse world, but as a betting proposition its the pits!January 8, 2010 at 17:58 #268813Well I guess I’m a liar Gord

In short, tbracing, TAPK can’t bet a sand-pit winner to save his life. It obviously follows that if god himself can’t make it pay, no-one can.
Cracking effort today Martin.

Weakened tamely on his penultimate start over 12f at Kempton but that was his first run since September and his latest run showed plenty of promise, he’s a winner at 12f in the past and ran well off 3lbs higher four starts back in a race that’s shaped up well enough.1pt win, 1pt place @ 16/1 (general)
