AOB almost never runs his classic winning fillies against the colts as 3-y-os,
maybe only once this century. As someone who got their fingers burnt with Alexandrova
good luck to anyone with a nice price on Snowfall.
Still if Coolmore don’t have any serious 12f colts this year perhaps there’s a chance.July 18, 2021 at 08:59 #1551177Minding springs to “mind” as a 3 y/o against the colts
Why did Love only run 3 times as a 3y/o ?? Yorkshire Oaks was last raceGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 18, 2021 at 11:02 #1551198Following on from Nathans mention of ‘Minding’, Qualify readily springs to mind as a classic winner whom immediately took the colts on in the Irish Derby.
Found didn’t win a classic, but was Ballydoyles best 3yo filly and took on colts / older horses / all-comers at 3yo. I am sure there will be more given research, Love would certainly have been another one last season but for ground / contaminated feed.
Edit – Winter had a go at the Arc in her classic season too.

July 18, 2021 at 11:06 #1551200It all depends on how bolshoi ballet and high definition do in the next couple of races. Love will certainly be aimed at the arc but the ground will need to be good. If the colts don’t look like they are in with a shout of winning then surely they must supplement snowfall. Yesterday showed the oaks wasn’t a fluke and if it comes up soft in October then the lads will surely enter her. She looks an outstanding fully who can only improve and seems to be filling out.
July 18, 2021 at 18:15 #1551246They might even end up running her in the fillies and mares group 1 at ascot on champions day
Really depends on how good they actually think she is
July 19, 2021 at 01:48 #1551270After love runs in the king George and snowfall in the Yorkshire oaks the lads need to get their plans sorted. Loves participation in the arc is in the lap of the gods so she could well up at the breeders cup. Surely snowfall will be supplemented for the arc then champions day. I wouldn’t be surprised if both stayed in trading next year as st Marks basilica is sure to be heading to stud probably after the champion stakes.
