White Birch for me.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 13, 2025 at 17:00 #1739924It’s going to be a completely different race, if they’d chose to come over towards the stands.
September 13, 2025 at 17:32 #1739926Get in!
September 13, 2025 at 17:34 #1739927WD Mike and Ruby, got a nice run through but good enough when the jockey pressed go, won it fair and square
September 13, 2025 at 17:37 #1739928That move off the home turn won the race as he nicked a few lengths off Anmaat who followed him through and couldn’t peg back the lead.
September 13, 2025 at 17:40 #1739930Thanks green, but let’s not get overexcited. There were just too many question marks surrounding the rest and the home horse with the best track record beat the most reliable yardstick in the race. The rest didn’t count a bit, but the winner is extremely useful over this trip. Let’s see where he goes next….
September 13, 2025 at 17:41 #1739931Well done to you Mike and also to Christophe Soumillon who seems to ride the track very well.
September 13, 2025 at 17:42 #1739932Ta all
wd winners
September 13, 2025 at 17:43 #1739933That is five 3 year old winners of this on the trot.
September 13, 2025 at 17:54 #1739934Well done Mike and Ruby ..
I was hoping for White Birch as I had a double with Fallen Angel but luckily did Fallen Angel separately too as per my Select 3 horses picks. Great day for the lads
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 13, 2025 at 17:58 #1739935Thanks, Jac. Maybe White Brich is better suited by the Curragh….. I don’t know.
September 14, 2025 at 09:39 #1739955Surprised more wasn’t said about the running and riding of Mount Kilimonjiro but probably we’ve all just become accustomed to this from Aidan now. The horse was beaten literally half a mile out. Ridiculously over egged front running ride.
September 14, 2025 at 13:43 #1739981Pacemarkers only tend to be talked about in circumstances where either they haven’t done their employed job correctly or have hampered other horses in the race.
If they have set a good strong even gallop and dropped out without interferring with any of the other horses then they have done their job correctly and shouldn’t be spoken about other than maybe a passing comment of ‘did their job’.
MK was clearly ridden more like an actual pacemaker compared to recent races we have seen and he checked out of the race probably around where he was expected to, as he would have been racing a stride or two faster than he would have been capable of sustaining to the finishing line given the class of race he was running in.
September 14, 2025 at 14:07 #1739984Watching the move soumi made round the bend he seamlessly took 2 lengths out of the field and won much easier than the winning distance. Gosdens nonsense comments about aidan being mob handed look pretty stupid. Perfectly fair run race and I don’t see how gosdens horse would have had the toe to trouble delacroix. I really hope he drops down to a mile as he has a tremendous turn of foot.
September 14, 2025 at 15:47 #1740004“O’Brien was also far from downbeat about red-hot favourite Composing’s defeat.
He said: “I maybe should’ve put in one to go on and make the running for Composing. It wasn’t fair to ask her to make the running in that headwind, but I can’t be disappointed with her or Beautify.” ”
Slightly annoyed with himself that he didn’t run a non trier in the Moyglare.
