FF I think he,ll get a race today , poetic flare is def no mug and O’Brien has had a band average season , I wouldn’t want to be taking a short price
September 11, 2021 at 14:49 #1560084There you go. Good horse confirmed. Good horse race all round.
September 11, 2021 at 14:51 #1560085Stonker of a finish , I do love poetic flare , hard as nails
September 11, 2021 at 14:58 #1560087Race of the year?
Really enjoyed that
Thought tarnawa ran a belter just didn’t have the raw speed of the winner
There is a stewards and he did impede her but would be amazed if it was changed
September 11, 2021 at 14:58 #1560088HDLG hes a right tough horse PF, a rock solid baseline for form
But like i said previously SMB for me is by far and away the best 3yo this season, off a setback its a nice performance and i dont think we will find out how good he is as when he gets into full flow he only does enough, he would be very very hard to pass unless nailed on the line, looks to have a solid attitude to me
Not a clue why there saying tarnawa was inconvenienced, its a 4 runner race, she was not passing him under any circumstance, i thought she ran a cracker though, very tough mare
September 11, 2021 at 15:01 #1560090I expect the result will stand but Moore could have made a better effort to stop the horse from drifting so far across the track.
September 11, 2021 at 15:06 #1560091Cork I think Moore intended to go wide but once he did the horse drifted with Moore still riding vigorously to try to win whilst having his whip in the correct hand.
September 11, 2021 at 15:11 #1560095CK could have more than easily came through the middle, theres no interference, whip in the correct hand, you can see tarnawa wasnt passing him on any line, if anything all it would have done is made the 1-2 further infront of PF
If no speak alexander didnt get thrown out this shouldnt even be a discussion lol
September 11, 2021 at 15:12 #1560097Agree he had his whip in correct hand but did he make any effort to straighten the horse? They are both so wide that the press photographers beyond the post had to take evasive action.
It seems to me that a lot of jockeys make no effort to keep their horses straight, knowing that as the rules in Britain and Ireland stand, they are very unlikely to lose the race.
September 11, 2021 at 15:13 #1560098Irish stewards must be on a crate of Guiness per enquiry today.
BUY THE SUN
September 11, 2021 at 15:13 #1560099There was clear interference ham
Hes dragged her across the track
If the winning distance had been less couldve been thrown
But they’ll never throw something that wins by that far unless it almost knocks the second over
September 11, 2021 at 15:16 #1560102Interesting watching the ride the filly was given – she got a couple of smacks but I thought it was a very sympathetic ride that indicated what connections have stressed that today wasn’t the be all end all.
Result stands – a somewhat similar case to the Sky Lantern/Elusive Kate Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket (although the winning margin was shorter there), which wasn’t amended so no chance of it been done here…Ryan knew what he was doing and only corrected him when he was in danger of making contact with the filly.
Great race.
September 11, 2021 at 15:23 #1560107Winning time was 5.59 seconds slower than standard.
Previous three races were 3.35 (1m 2yos), 2.48 (1m), and 1.73 slow.
Massively tactical race and IMO Tarnawa has run a superb Arc trial.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"September 11, 2021 at 15:53 #1560123It was a good race all round, I feared Poetic Flare would pull his head off and not get home but my word he’s tough as nails and kept battling on even when the other two weren’t near him to draw him in to the fight and he was pretty keen. SMB will almost certainly go to Ascot as a justified favourite (if he goes there) but he seems and they keep saying he has so much speed, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if it ends up a bog and blunts his speed.
September 11, 2021 at 16:05 #1560128Poetic Flare was flattered there with the others running off the line plus the slow pace suited him best
September 11, 2021 at 16:08 #1560129SMB isnt too ground dependent. Top class on good or soft or very soft.
September 11, 2021 at 21:44 #1560178Dont think smb was loving the ground. Better with a wee bit of give. I’d be tempted to go for the arc if it was decent ground at longchamp but of course they have snowfall for that.
