My record speaks for itself! My philosophy is as simple as me!
I bet to Win,i cover all bases to narrow the possibility of losing!I put up good price winners on here,i back huge price winners too! The Ante-Post drama queen nearly had one in the RSA,yet he showed his "experience" and turned a probable disaster,(Only if you thought Punchestowns was the real deal)into a 4 figure profit! The King is dead! Long live the Ante-Post drama Queen!

March 29, 2010 at 11:10 #286240Don’t give me Inxile Gord!! I backed him well last week believing he’d beat that bunch doing cartwheels and today I was in on Prime Defender for a monkey with not a penny on Inxile

Win some lose some a

tb,how many times have i preached Loyalty? He is still the un finished article now! Haydock Sprint Cup perhaps!
March 29, 2010 at 13:20 #286268I think Sayif may have something to say about that Gord!

On his favoured fast ground,i would agree tb,Haydocks sprint usually has a bit of cut,Regal Parade sorted Sayif last year and
Inxile
can certainly keep him at Arms length! I suppose through a line with Prime defender, there"s not much in it!You know the rules with Sprinters!
March 29, 2010 at 13:52 #286276Another year older Gord, harder better faster stronger as Daft Punk would say, he was only a pup last year

As Stiff Little Fingers would say "Straw Dog"!!!
April 12, 2010 at 19:44 #289943No change to the French rules:-
De Kock not cowed by French resistance
By Howard Wright in Sydney 5:45PM 10 APR 2010SOUTH AFRICAN administrator Rob de Kock, who is chairing an international working group attempting to harmonise raceday procedures, has pledged to continue the fight for common ground on rules covering interference, despite opposition from France.
"If France wants to go its own way, so be it," De Kock said, "but with few exceptions, the rest of the racing world will not be following them."
De Kock was responding to a statement issued by France-Galop president Edouard de Rothschild on Thursday.
Rothschild dismissed a possibility that the French rules, which tend to favour amendment to placings for horses that have suffered interference, might be changed in the short term.
Controversy over the demotion of Dar Re Mi after last September’s Prix Vermeille prompted hopes that France may come into line with most other major racing nations, including Britain, Ireland, South Africa,Australia and those in the Far East, which give more credence to winners on merit.
However, after a lengthy consultation, Rothschild produced a ruling that surprised even professionals in France – including former France-Galop director-general Louis Romanet.
Romanet now finds himself in the awkward position of accepting the French decision while also having to support De Kock’s working group in his role as chairman of the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities.
Speaking in Sydney, where he is attending this week’s Asian Racing Conference, De Kock said: "France has defended its approach to interference on the grounds that it fits the country’s attitude to betting, which is based largely on exotic bets such as the Quinte Plus.
"But that’s not the way forward if countries want to expand their own racing and betting into global markets.
"The more countries that can harmonise their rules, especially on interference, the better chance they have of marketing their racing overseas."
De Kock expects to discuss latest developments with various administrators, including BHA chief executive Nic Coward, in Sydney.
He added: "I’m very disappointed by the French decision, but we won’t give up."

tb you are a fan of
Prime Defender
,he got his revenge this week at 20/1,i hope you stayed loyal? What it does show is that Inxile needs cut and Prime Defender prefers fast ground, both are more than capable on their day!
May 16, 2010 at 11:10 #295926Indeed I did Gord, I backed the pair, was an interesting race! Sayif was left out of calculations as one for another day! As was Showcasing and that Aussie hustler. Quite a different looking tissue I had to the market I can tell you, which I was happy about
May 16, 2010 at 11:28 #295928tb,i like the muppet i sometimes am had backed
Prime Defender
in the last 2 July Cups at fancy prices,i should of at least chucked a fiver on him, purely on that, never mind the way he has been running this season, back to a bit of consistency! He currently trades at a mere 22 for this years July Cup,but a massive 65 for the Golden Jubilee,i can see him running in both and strictly being a 6f horse wont be going for the Kings Stand which only clouds ones "Guesses" as to what goes where ie,Showcasing (Both perhaps!)
May 16, 2010 at 13:12 #295950I believe the US rules on interference and on not keeping a straight line are the best. If you take another horse’s ground you are placed behind him. They don’t get into a discussion about which "would have won’ or which is the "best horse".Those things are decided by a race where each horses must keep a straight line and the winner will be the first who does that. Now that is the rule in human language.I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY DO IF NOBODY GOES STRAIGHT.
May 16, 2010 at 15:33 #295984Apparently the stewards used the same rules as are used here in the French One Thousand Guineas today.
September 18, 2010 at 18:51 #318152Patience is a virtue!
Inxile
has long been a favourite of mine and today he showed what a class horse he is,i watched him fumble his way around Lingfield last Saturday and thought "Cammidge"! I have been watching the decs all week and i thought there is no way Dandy will run Tax Free on Soft ground,he did and i lost a tenner on him at 10"s,he also threw another smoke screen in Evens and Odds who i had £20 on at 14"s! Thankfully i stayed "Loyal" to my instincts and had a Tenner on Inxile at 20"s and a tenner e/w at 16/1 on the Tote,i then had another £10 on at 5"s as soon as he went 2l clear at the start! What a battler, for the 1st time he showed he has lost the "Greeness" he has shown many times before,he still has more improvement to come too!Redemption! What a late Gamble aswell,Team Nicholls were on big time!
I will watch Redford in future races, his time will come!Like the above says,Patience is a virtue!
