Regarding Steig I placed my lay about two hour’s before the off thinking that just under 2/1 was very good value to us layer’s so was very surprised to see it much shorter in the betting as they were going to post, in the past I would of kept on laying it regardless of any staking plan I was trying to implement and that would catch me out in the end so I’m doing my best to be strict with my discipline and to just watch as many races as I can, I think the Racing Post charge for replay’s for RUK subscribers is ridiculous considering the ATR tracks are free
but we can’t have it all I suppose. Weet By Far had it all falling into his lap last time at Wolves (was a layer that night) where he drifted from fav to around 12/1 on Betfair if my memory serves me right. Schiehallion is one to take out of my lay’s today as I thought even Sandown’s 2 miles would never be a test enough for him, given how he was keen enough again and kept on I think if he settle’s better he’s will no doubt be placed to advantage when given a proper test.February 22, 2008 at 19:55 #145630In addition I will add comment’s to the day’s result’s when I have time on my side.
February 23, 2008 at 09:34 #145751Great work so far Mr Invisible. Are you doing your lays on Betfair, Betdaq or WBX? If you know what odds you want it may be more profitable on WBX as the commision points on there go up faster. Please keep disciplined as this thread has got potential.
February 23, 2008 at 10:13 #145759Cheers, I’m using Betdaq as a personal choice but obviously not a wise choice to play inrunning
February 23, 2008 at 14:11 #145853Newcastle
2.25 Percussionist 10/1[/color:2olhvv35]
Nice flat stayer but Treats hurdles with little respect, best chance of winning in switch of codes is over fences I feel
3.00 Bleu Pois 14/1[/color:2olhvv35]
Takes on some decent looking novices and will need sight lowering
4.05 Kalahori King 5/1[/color:2olhvv35]
I’m a big fan of it’s trainer Ferdy Murphy but he’s a master of talking horses up, he showed a decent turn of foot when scoring at Musselburgh but I feel is worth taking on at a course such as Newcastle
Lingfield
2.35 Bienheurex 6/1[/color:2olhvv35]
Very quirky sort who is never far away and for that reason is worth taking on at short enough odds
3.45 Evens And Odds 5/1[/color:2olhvv35]
Jamie Spencer takes the ride and has improved for the fitting of blinkers however that was on the fibresand and I think it’s a tall order to win this today, stable jockey rides other horse from the yard and can see jamie giving this to much to do.
Fairyhouse
4.50 Hedgehunter 12/1[/color:2olhvv35]
Getting another blow out ready for the National
Was Considering Mick The Man in the 3.55 as the ground will suit much better today, I actually think he would have his best chance of winning if he’s put in a higher grade race I think Oscar Time can give him trouble again today but I’m not playing in the race
Good luck

Well watching the racing was a non starter today as my future mother in law was here today due to my other half having a rare Saturday off from work so I banished myself to the bedroom and listened to sportslive for most of today. Had a big decision to make with Kalahori King as Andytown was taken out of the race but I decided to stick with it and put it in at 5/2 and got matched, Managed to get my TV back before my last lay with Hedgehunter my initial lay at 21 went unmatched but I decided to lay at 14 in running when I saw it available that gave my a few scares from the winners less than fluent jumping at the last two fences

3.25 Sporting Rebel 10/1[/color:cyz4ce1i]
Much shorter in the betting due to the non runners, faces no easy task today and has been bumped up 17lb for winning at race on desperate ground at Chepstow and has it to prove going right handed and on good ground.
February 24, 2008 at 15:13 #1461135.00 Rustarix 3/1[/color:2jigqe6g]
Has plenty of abilty book never looks to finish his races as one would expect considering how he travels during his races and today faces the classy Gold Medallist who got beat in his second race back after a long break and I expect him to go much better today as I find many horses run well after a layoff to then under perform on its next outing (the dreaded bounce!). Pimbury could be useful when going handicapping

Uninterrupted day in front of the box as the kids went off to there nans
hope my missus does not read this! Rustarix looked quite rusty at some of his fences but pushed Gold Medallist all the way after looking hard work for a stride or two.February 24, 2008 at 19:17 #146191Great profit and loss at the moment. Keep up the good work. You going on Tuesday? I cant as I am back at work
February 24, 2008 at 19:28 #146193No will have to Sky+ it, should get in no problem by the look of things

2.40 Steig 9/2[/color:kz8z6643]
Looks held by the recent formline of Morbick which just piped Justcallmehadsome who come from off the stong pace set by Steig on Friday night, can make a case for most and I would not be surprised to see Shogun Price run a big race, will find a couple to good again.
3.40 Almaty Express 7/2[/color:kz8z6643]
Never won off higher than 70 (runs off 74) and has no apprentice to take any weight off, tough ask latest race and possible the excellent Chris Catlin could dictate this up front on his own but I expect Judge ‘n Jury to bustle him so it wont become tactical and set this up for one of the finishers

Laid up with a cold and not the right medicine seeing Almaty Express winning well
he was bustled by the well suported Judge ‘n Jury and I thought they would both push one another to much but that horse soon cried enough, great ride by Catlin a very switched on jockeyFebruary 26, 2008 at 11:21 #146559Leicester
2.20 Nikola 8/11[/color:15e3j4yt]
Currently nearly 1/2 and I feel this is very much worth opposing at that, Fandini will no doubt of been well schooled since his chasing debut 91 days ago and Barati could go well at a price
2.00 Tapas Lad 7/2[/color:15e3j4yt]
5.00 Fondness 7/1[/color:15e3j4yt]
