Blue Mist is the obvious fav but at 6/1 ( as low as 4s in places) I am prepared to wait till final decs are confirmed, but there is a big race in him if everything falls right.
One that catches my eye ( 20s is available) is Shelir. He caught my eye when 5th in Buckingham Palace at the royal meeting. Next up he didn’t get involved at Haydock but is now 4lb lower than that Ascot effort.
Couple downsides he is entered on Friday and maybe could do with a couple of showers, but 20s I have had a small play and if double digits at final decs will play again.
Good luck if your playingJuly 21, 2020 at 12:03 #1494581Really really strong lineup…..

I don’t think it’s too much of a surprise to see Blue Mist head the market. Safe to say he’s a player, and due some compensation from Ascot, where everything that could go wrong, went wrong.
Things went better at Ascot for Chiefofchiefs, and the manner in which he won suggested that a 5lb rise shouldn’t be much of an issue. 16’s a big looking price, and he’s certainly considered.
Ebury was another who caught the eye at Ascot, and hardly surprising that the 12’s is getting snapped up just now. This is a nice horse. He was my fancy for The Lincoln this year, and also on my radar for The Hunt Cup, but as it was, he took in The Buckingham Palace, where he certainly wasn’t disgraced. I actually deserted him in The Buckingham Palace for two others, and one of them was Keyser Soze. I was ready to put a line through him after that run, but his run in The Bunbury Cup was very encouraging, and I’m a lot more positive about him after that. It was the polar opposite with Mutamaasik. Excellent in The Buckingham Palace, but desperate in The Bunbury. If Ascot brings a return to form, then 14’s looks fair.
It was another from The Bunbury Cup that I really like though. Blackheath met as much trouble as possible, and though there is no way he have caught the winner, he should have been a lot closer. I think that he’s slowly clicking into place, and there’s more progression in him.
Arbalet ran really well yesterday, and the first time he’s grabbed me. Certainly wouldn’t be dismissing him at 25’s, while Verboten, who I thought could develop into a Cambridgeshire horse, might be worth forgiving at around 20’s.
It’s a really strong entry, and I could give a strong word to half a dozen others, but those are the ones jumping out just now.
He has other entries, so hardly going mad, not to mention I’ll have more than one in this, but I’m happy with this early play……
Blackheath 25’s EW 5 Places
July 22, 2020 at 13:03 #1494658I think that Blue Mist is due as well, and I will bet him on the day. Will he go much smaller than 4-1?
I think that I will have an early bet on Watan at 14-1.

I think if you hang on till Saturday morning (with all the pushes etc) you should get at least 4s
Good luckJuly 22, 2020 at 13:37 #1494670Thanks, I think that you’re right, and I will wait till then.
July 23, 2020 at 22:18 #1494788Very tight on my figures. Have about 10 within 4lbs, but I’ll row in with BLACKHEATH who comes out a couple of pounds top. Ran into any amount of trouble last time, but of course it could argued that was because he was unable to hold a challenging place at key times. However, his form before the Bunbury Cup was very solid, he has a good record at stiff galloping tracks.
July 24, 2020 at 01:22 #1494803Hope you’re right Rob.
Looking for my second selection here, and looking back at his Silver Wokingham win, I can definitely see Chiefofchiefs remain competitive off 5lbs higher. He did do it very well. I’ve taken 16’s, but I’d happily bet him again if he went bigger.
Pleased that Verboten swerves this, while on another day I could easily have went with Ebury or Arbalet, but I’ll stick with the two just now.
Blackheath 25’s EW 5 Places
Chiefofchiefs 16’sJuly 24, 2020 at 01:47 #1494805VCT I have been looking at Blackheath on his last run where he run into all sorts of trouble, I think his price is too big and it’s worth a bet. The value is there.
July 25, 2020 at 13:19 #1494977I’m always looking for two in a race like this, but I will stick with Mutamaasik here 8-1 on the nose.
July 25, 2020 at 13:23 #1494979Tough race to pick from but I’ve gone for 2 who ran well at Ascot last time. Ebury & Cliffs Of Capri. EW 6 places.
Good luck.
