Of those at the top of the market I thought Go Dante shaped as though he was coming to the boil last time.

The one I like most is We’re Red And Blue. Returned to form last time after a blip when he pulled up after bleeding. Handicapper has left him on the same mark and his victory over Jet To Vegas now reads very well. 20/1 EW.

Sticking with Go Dante has shown little this season but last time out there was a glimmer better things.

The more I know the less I understand.

Yes go dante did look like returning to form so I took 16s a/p win only.
I’ve also done Bo Zenith 11/1.
I’ve had 5o do it cos I’ve done it for the m.pipe at 33/1 nrnb.

Go Dante price has collapsed this eve; best you’ll get now is 8s.

I’m wary of a punt on this, antepost.
Will wait til Thursday i think. The ground could be a big factor, with all this dry weather.

No major fancy in this, so no Antepost, but as much as I don’t bet too many of NTD’s, I’ll chip away at both Big Ginge and Norman Fletcher if they are declared. Both 33’s at the moment

Would have to be lump sum for me just now. Sam Thomas stable continuing an excellent run of form on Saturday afternoons.

Spirits Bay ran well in the International behind Constitution Hill. But that steadily run race on soft ground was a lot different to what this race is likely to be. Three of these have shown their bests from the front. AFADIL has been prominent but can track pace. Ditto OOH BETTY. Possible those two will allow a gap to emerge from those fighting for the lead. Afadil came back to form last time out at Musselborough. Booking of Freddie Gingell a positive. Ooh Betty chased home Take No Chances and Kargese in a Grade 2 Ascot Mares race last time and penultimate start won a Kempton Class 3 handicap – progressive on right-handed courses. Stable in good form too…

Not as in form as Sam Thomas though. LUMP SUM was second to Joyuse in the “Betfair Hurdle”. Coming from quite far back. Ditto GO DANTE who loomed up two out in that race before a mistake. Had raced towards the outside too, which is a disadvantage at Newbury. He is getting on in years now, but is on a lower mark than when winning this last year. If the ground is nearer good-soft than good should be ok. If it is a very strongly run race those two should be there at the finish.

One at a massive price I like is HARDY DU SEUIL. His 7 lb claimer was on board last time when beaten less than 3 lengths by Secret Squirrel at Windsor. Stiffer track and a faster pace should suit. Has run to form on Good before and has won at Sandown. Not one with a great chance, but imo overly priced @ 33/1.

    Backed:
    Afadil 11/1
    Go Dante 8/1
    Ooh Betty 14/1
    Hardy Du Seuil 39/1
    Lump Sum 11/1 (half bet)

I also make Wreckless Eric slight value, considered a saver but already have 5 horses on my side.
Basically taken around 7/4 one of those will win.

After changing my mind several times, I’ve finally gone with Bo Zenith 9-1.
