Generally, yes……..until my chain is yanked by half-wits.
September 7, 2007 at 21:29 #113945As you dont know me you dont know if im a half wit or not so that comment is unecessary shall we call a truce before we make us and this forum look even more stupid and childish
September 7, 2007 at 21:48 #113949There’s not a lot wrong with this forum, other than that some of the posts are unintelligible.
Try to write in English: why should people give you the time of day when you can’t be arsed to make an effort with something so basic?
September 7, 2007 at 21:56 #113950Nowt wrong with t’TRF, boyo.
They even allow ancient old Welshmen to post on here!

Good forum, TRF.
September 7, 2007 at 23:09 #113959Ugly Mare (I know who you are ), I don’t think there’s anything wrong with eccentricity period.
What puzzles me is the point of this thread. Is there anything wrong with TRF, that the termination (preferably with extreme prejudice) of the Flat season won’t put right?
I think we both know the answer to that one, don’t we?
Sanity will prevail once Choc does his thing in the late Autumn – he’s dreamy don’t you know.
lol…indeed he is, and lucky are the mares he’ll be riding
September 7, 2007 at 23:35 #113964A forum generally works like this .. a person writes something, an opinion or whatever and then someone comes along and agrees with it.
Then someone else comes along and disagrees with it. Then you either defend your original assertion or you debate and change your mind. Or you agree to disagree.
And we all stay friends, and the community grows and we gravitate towards the folk we generally agree with. We all stay grown up and enjoy.
You should never take anything personal, I don’t, I don’t give a monkeys. The only way TRF could be improved would be more people posting and more diverse views.

yeah, and I think the place could do with some more women who have the time to become regular posters as they can give a different slant to things, perhaps less betting or ratings orientated. I wonder if some women feel a bit intimidated about joining in some discussions.
There used to be quite a few but have largely disappeared. I’d like to see more threads started by women both in the Lounge and Horse Racing on a range of topics but I wonder sometimes if they don’t feel entirely at home here.September 8, 2007 at 00:04 #113974That would be a shame.

September 8, 2007 at 00:11 #113975Women tend to have a life, generally speaking.
September 8, 2007 at 02:10 #113982There are many things wrong with this forum, mostly behind the scenes and they are taking an age to get sorted (not Corm’s fault), also there used to be plenty of female members that used to post here and also use the chatroom (the good old days), I wish they’d all come back and that the forum would go back to the way it was before but having said that I’m not going to get annoyed over it anymore I’m just going to let TRF slide along at 10mph and see where it ends up.
September 8, 2007 at 04:02 #113983i would suggest that if someone found everything and everyone on an open internet forum to their liking it would likely be totally used by one boring bunch of trainspotters
variety helps, imo

hi KT,
I hope it’s not raining where you are, it always seems to be so when I check the weather for that region…lol..I’m sorry you feel it can be a bit scarey. I think men enjoy talking [arguing] with other men mostly, don’t you? but if we’ve got something to say we should just feel free to say it and that applies to everyone.
I think I know about 5 or 6 other women on here from time to time. Used to be a lot more. I notice you pop up here and there quite regularly which is good and most welcome, I’m enjoying your contributions, it’s just that a lot of us ladies are infrequent visitors, perhaps for reasons Dave alluded to earlier..lol…as registration is easier now, maybe things will change there.I’d like to see Lydia Hislop post more often too, she understandably creates quite a bit of interest.
September 8, 2007 at 10:16 #114005Hi Ugly Mare! It can just be a wee bit intimidating but it’s OK us racing folk are tough and so long as I don’t mention the Jambos winning last weekend I think I’m safe…………….. oops
Yes it is raining here surprise, surprise! I’m used to it now and me and my 5 umbrellas get along really well, if only I can remember where I’ve left them all.
We raced last night on the sand and it resembled American dirt racing, most of the jocks came back in 2kgs over weight after each race
Mind you it’s still about 90% humidity and the pool is looking inviting -
