    Can bears run fast?

Because running away would be my bear strategy of choice.

I’d rather play pool, with a beer, and not go anywhere near any bears.

Good post from Gamble. Bit more like him

Sadly I only read some of it

    IT SCREAMS. I KNOW EVERYTHING

still. I expect he is planning his next controlling attack

How can gamble, this most gentle of Internet forum Mavericks, be labelled “controlling?”

“Whimsical” and “mischievous” are the most dramatic labels I could ever afford him.

10 yrs ago Gamble was the king of this forum

It’s pretty obvious you have come back a better oiled poster Ricky than previous – I must say I am impressed by your energy – but don’t tell us you’ve been in a box for seven years – you’ve polished your writing skills somewhere.
I have had battery issues today and lost a long post directed in answer Moe dealing with rip tides Great Whites Gorillas and fending off bears and those fending off jabs.
If I had lost a post ten years ago as I did often I would always rewrite it; usually with a different and better slant than the original. Today I couldn’t be arsed to do that.
I had much more time on my hands ten years ago. Today I write as a way to release some of the stress of my present occupation plus my caring duties – and it takes me to a different place. I fully understand the majority who just tire of writing on forums and disappear themselves. They get bored or tired of it or have found better mediums to express themselves.
When I write it is on my mobile now so it feels more snatchy and smaller and with less impact. My small red possibly 12 or 14 inch Packard Bell laptop was a beautiful machine to write from and used to hold its charge better than my mobile but with time it got old and died. I don’t have a laptop or computer – make do with this but did buy a chromebook in the Black Friday but had no time to open it. I couldn’t even tell you its make.
I quite enjoy lurking now and having a look around now and then. I travel at least once a day and I convince myself it doesn’t waste my time – although I could be doing something more productive possibly. I try not to look in always every day and if I miss I will usually catch up.
Everything is opinion. It’s all been quite interesting of late.

There are times when I really don’t rate this place and wonder why I bother. Other times, it’s a great laugh and I love it. It’s the latter at the moment

Fair enough and good hearted comments and quite a lot of revelations and possibly fair guesses there. I am in the Davies camp and possibly too much of a narcissist to declare my humdrum in too much detail.
Instead of sitting in an island somewhere in the sun I choose a daily commute. It’s possibly payback for a wastrels life in the slow lane.

I travel usually within citi limits at the weekend when there’s less buzz then the outer regions of Greater Bankbroke taking in Sussex during the week, and less often the small Island of Wight. My journeys vary.

What really matters is what generally decants into your mind – and what you take to bed with you on a mental level !

I am possibly an addictive poster and for that reason try not to write so much. I never feel any obligation to contribute though and if I don’t want to, just wont. I never concern myself if others dont post either – the church is still open and I never mind the still – but sometimes jive talking can pleasantly break the boredom.

Fair crack to Nathan easing up and big Paul Ostermeyer driving off into the distance his big O blaring – their contributions are always in the memory and I remember most with pinpoint accuracy. Well slightly blurring at the edges with the passage of time.

Time to look at the clock !
and Tank possibly time for your slippers and the prayer book. :good:
