My site must be very different as the last run shown is Cheltenham in May?
It would helpful if you could confirm exactly where that run is shown?
February 25, 2024 at 16:53 #1682598I’m seeing the same as you, stilvi, and it would be interesting to know if Mark is seeing something different.
Oddly, I can view the Brocklesby Park result at the link below, yet when I click on Premier Magic’s name it then doesn’t show in his form!

February 29, 2024 at 21:44 #1682990Premier Magic has won at Sheriff Hutton and Brocklesby Park this season.
No offence but there is more to Hunters’ Chase betting than many realise and a lot of non-specialist punters fall for regressive ex-rules chasers with once lofty ORs every year.
Most of them get beaten out of sight by younger Pointers/Hunters’ Chasers who can run to 140 in the here and now.
The best Point judge I know last year bet Premier Magic at 200 on the machine – he’s been on a world tour ever since.
Jockeyship is also hugely important as the difference between the best and worst is a lot greater than in the professional ranks plus no one can claim in this race.

Go to Big Race entries on the RP website, then pick the Hunter Chase
If you have the Form selected in page settings it displays the Brocklesby results for Premier Magic
how to remove duplicate sentences in word[/url]Like I said in my post, it disappears when accessing it whilst viewing another horse’s form
Very strange.March 1, 2024 at 00:42 #1683006I have followed that, but why should you need to click on the race to find the full form? If you just search ‘Premier Magic’ the races are not shown. Makes no sense. Is this just a single glitch?
March 1, 2024 at 06:52 #1683023Horses’s UK Point form often doesn’t appear until they are entered up at the six-day stage for a race or even the 48-hour stage.
For selfish reasons, I’d rather it didn’t appear at all!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"March 1, 2024 at 15:28 #1683051Who is ‘the best point judge you know’ on this year, Ian? Can’t keep all the info to yourself.
March 1, 2024 at 18:35 #1683061He wouldn’t be happy at me disclosing that!
He bets for value and doesn’t always win obviously, but he does very well long term.
FWIW my main bet on the race last year was Famous Clermont – despite this chap warning me Famous Clermont had the same sire as Caryto Des Brosses and was not an influence for stamina!
I got my Famous Clermont losses back with interest at Aintree and fortunately I had a tiny (and I mean tiny) bet on Premier Magic at Cheltenham too @ 200 so didn’t lose on the race, but not losing on the race isn’t much to brag about when you’ve backed a winner at 200!
I’d backed Premier Magic myself ante post for the race in 2022 as well – what an almighty horlicks I made of what could have been a great result for me last year!
I look forward to this race every year and the 2024 renewal will be no exception.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"March 4, 2024 at 23:48 #1683609MarkTT, thanks for the reply about the Racing Post form.
I do not believe that this is an isolated glitch for Premier Magic as some of the recent points form for other Cheltenham entrants disappears too when you view their profiles e.g. From The Heart and Marcle Ridge. It primarily appears to be an issue with recent runs in British points, though it makes no sense given that the races are visibly already present in the database.
March 11, 2024 at 01:05 #1684463I asked Racing Post Customer Services about the missing P2P form that was under discussion above. They have advised that, due to commercial restrictions, P2P form since the last run under Rules is not added to a horse’s profile until the horse is next declared under Rules.
While I appreciate that hunter chases and points are a niche area, it’s a bit disappointing to learn that the leading industry website is not providing comprehensive form in all circumstances.
The profiles for horses entered for the Festival Hunters’ Chase were updated at the time of my query in the middle of last week, and you can now see Premier Magic’s missing runs. I don’t know if this was done earlier than usual due to the higher profile of the race or just because of my query (in which case sorry Ian!).
March 11, 2024 at 11:35 #1684502I phoned Racing Post to demand they carry on keeping other punters in the dark but they said: “We had a call from Marlingford, who frankly sounds a lot nicer person than you, so we’re publishing!”

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"March 11, 2024 at 11:48 #1684506I’ll be playing its on the line but Samcro is a fascinating runner , he maybe regressive but he is regressing from a mark the others can only dream of and he loves Cheltenham , I’m actually looking forward to watching this
March 11, 2024 at 11:52 #1684509Marlingford, well done in asking the question.
Presumably, the same doesn’t apply to Irish point form?
I agree it’s a poor show.
March 11, 2024 at 13:19 #1684530Haha Ian, I did wonder if the commercial arrangements referred to were a bribe from an ex-journalist who specialises in point-to-points and hunter chases
Stilvi, I agree Irish P2P form does not seem to have the same issue. They did not mention it in their reply, but I assume the commercial arrangements are different.
March 11, 2024 at 13:28 #1684532“he maybe regressive but he is regressing from a mark the others can only dream of and he loves Cheltenham”
You could say the same about Arkle, HDLG, trouble is, he’s dead – same principle applies here.
