Secret Investor has caught my eye for this. Has just won back to back races in the discipline so should be qualified now.
If he’s anywhere near the horse he was in the 2021 Denman chase, he’ll take some beating.

Ferns rock was my main fancy though and was disappointed to hear he wasn’t running.

“If he’s anywhere near the horse he was in the 2021 Denman chase” – he isn’t.

Game of opinions, though, so good luck.

Ferns Rock would have been a massive danger to all – agree there.

35 entered and, if they run, Ferns Lock and Famous Clermont have this absolutely to themselves.

Vaucelet and Billaway aren’t natural jumpers and will clout every other fence, Winged Leader won’t quite get home and Secret Investor and Chris’s Dream are regressive.

Rocky’s Howya is the dark horse.

The penny has dropped with Go Go Geronimo here for me and I think the 8yo is incredible value at 20/1, there’s a lot of deadwood in this field and I can’t see him unplaced.

It’s Guilsborough Point-to-Point on Sunday and at the corresponding meeting last year I saw Go Go Geronimo beat The New Kid by a neck in the Restricted.

He’s improved further since – and definitely lost the “seconditis” tag – but whether he’s quite good enough for this I’m not so sure.

Chezza’s problem with Chris’s Dream is that he’s even more regressive than Regressie Regressive, winner of last year’s Mr Regressive contest at Regresstown.

Chris’s Dream beat Welsh Saint three lengths last time out and Welsh Saint was 19 and a half lengths behind Famous Clermont in the Walrus at Haydock Park subsequently.

You’re quite right, however did HDB have him ‘Cheltenham ready’ in that race?

    I doubt he’ll run there.

It’ll be Famous Clermont and Chris’s Dream for me.

I’ve been a fan of Chris’s Dream for a while and although I find entries like these to be a little unsporting and not in the spirit of the race; I can’t let him go at the prices. If he wins here; I’d be amazed if they opted for the Foxhunters over the National. I’ve backed him at 80s ew and 130 on the exchanges for the National, so I’m obviously a little swayed.

I cant be with Chezza’s enthusiasm for Famous Clermont, struggled with jumping last April at Cheltenham. Was pulled up behind Go Go Geronimo that time.
I know they are both doing well in PTP’s, one up North and the other down south.
Definitely looking forward to this more than many other races during the week..

Then see whats left standing for Hunter Chase May 4th night at Cheltenham.

    Quoting myself..

Would think the PTP novice chase at Stratford in May would be on the radar for this one.

Game of opinions so no issue there – if everyone agreed with Chezza all the time everything Chezza ever wanted to back would be 1.01!

Things have got to go his way and very testing ground might test his stamina, but if it was round Larkhill he’d murder the lot of them and at 16/1 NRNB Chezza will gladly take a chance.

Opinions mater..and your’s are well respected.

Glad to see Go Go has drifted to 25/1, Ive had my bet now..if goes longer on the day, Ill go again.

I just see him taking it up on the second circuit, then hanging on for ..at least a place.

Rumour Vaucelet and maybe Billaway aren’t qualified to run – declarations 10am today.

If you believe it, backing Famous Clermont and dark horse Rocky’s Howya (or anything else you fancy) NRNB now might be a plan.
