Didnt see a thread for this, but its a race that I like.
So my first observation for this, is that Tea Clipper has an entry in a Hunter Chase at Ludlow this coming Thursday the 18th Feb with James Best provisionally booked to ride. Previous festival form, 6th and 4th behind Corach Rambler.
Could be a very interesting recruit to the Hunter Chase circuit. Its on the Line current fav at 7/2 after beating Ferns Lock recently at Down Royal, and last years winner Premier Magic at 12’s
No price being shown for Tea Clipper..January 17, 2024 at 16:50 #1677659Update: Tea Clipper introduced at 16’s with a few firms. Would have liked a bigger price like we all would.
Free bet double On the GC winner (fingers crossed) and Tea Clipper.January 17, 2024 at 18:19 #1677674I’ve had what must be my first ever antepost bet on the Hunter Chase. Premier Magic won it last year and followed up athe May meeting, proving it was no fluke. He returned to action at the weekend just gone and duly won. He’s 12/1 and I can’t understand why he isn’t half the price.
January 19, 2024 at 17:14 #1677842Won very well last year TakeYourTime, looks a decent bet good luck.
January 23, 2024 at 19:02 #1678287Well Tea Clipper snatched defeat from the arms from victory..Thats one for the bin.. 😥
January 23, 2024 at 19:48 #1678293Wouldn’t throw your slip in the bin just yet, Landafar. A bigger field, stronger pace and better ground will all help. And the jockey is bound to have learnt from yesterday’s experience; he will hopefully wait longer in the big one.
February 3, 2024 at 08:54 #1679441Although I respect the Irish challenge this year, there is a UK Pointer not even quoted in any of the lists I’ve seen who might emerge as a contender over the weekend.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"February 10, 2024 at 13:26 #1680664Hitak 10-1 nrnb is my first bet here, he’ll get his credentials tested today.
February 10, 2024 at 16:53 #1680729All too much for Hitak, my money may be safe as I’d be surprised if he goes here. That race today took a bit of winning.
February 10, 2024 at 22:31 #1680780I specialise in these races and in recent years I’ve successfully opposed a few Irish hotspots like Vaucelet (not a fluent jumper).
This year, I’ve got a healthy respect for young pretenders Ferns Lock and Its On The Line (second as a 6yo last year) but the latter got into a right war today and will need an iron constitution to recover from that in a hurry.
Premier Magic won at Brocklesby Park today btw, supplementing Sheriff Hutton gains.

It’s One The Line – could be running in one of the Nationals next season, stamina won’t be an issue
Famous Clermont – looks like a non stayer to me
Regatta Des Blanc – unbeaten at right-handed Larkhill and Taunton but didn’t impress during that racecourse victory, although did jump to his left so Cheltenham might suit
Premier Magic – 2 from 3 over course and distance and lightly race at 11 years old
IOTL now 7, stronger and should be difficult to beat
February 20, 2024 at 12:07 #1681804Why are Premier Magic’s point wins mentioned above not listed on the Racing Post site? Seems like a shocking omission for a very expensive trade paper.
February 24, 2024 at 19:19 #1682494The more mistakes the better, so long as we know the truth, Stilvi.
Superb name btw – dam of Tromos and Tyrnavos?

However, we digress.
We don’t want the great unwashed knowing the Point form, Stilvi.
Really good Open at Larkhill tomorrow – Fier Jaguen, Grace A Vous Enki and Law Of Gold among the entries.
But don’t tell anyone!

Well the recent Brocklesby Park win is
I was reading the form of a PTP win a few days ago and yet the horse he beat didn’t have that particular race listed in his form
