Are horse declarations and draws posted somewhere in advance of the listings that appear on the Racing Post and Sporting Life websites?
April 18, 2013 at 12:48 #436634I suspect as it appears on the RP is as early as you will get it. They are usually up between 11am-12pm.
This is from the Weatherbys website.
Declarations to run must be made two days before the race for Flat racing, some high profile jump races and for all racing on Sunday. For other jump races the declaration stage falls on the day before the race. In both instances the deadline for declarations is 10.00a.m. Even allowing for our extensive checking procedures we can be ready to send electronic files to our data customers within 15 minutes of the deadline closing. This forms the list of runners and riders for each race which appears in your newspaper or racecard.
At the declaration stage, a number of processes are carried out: the elimination of horses in order to reduce races to the maximum field size (for both safety reasons and to ensure that every runner has its own stable on arrival at the racecourse), the draw for stalls position in flat races and the allocation of reserves for high profile races. In addition, trainers will have declared alternative colours (sometimes referred to as “second colours”) where an owner has multiple runners in a race.
For more information, or to make a declaration, please contact the Racing Operations Entries & Declarations Department.
April 18, 2013 at 14:40 #436643The only way you will get them earlier is if you are an owner or trainer with access to the Racing Admin site – or if you know someone with access.
As the previous poster said the RP seems to be quickest otherwise
