Can’t have Chacun at 2m 4 , he couldn’t get a stiff 2 Mile at Cheltenham so with a run under his belt this should be Fakirs race
January 22, 2023 at 13:07 #1631863Fakir Doudaries for me
January 22, 2023 at 13:11 #1631864The price on Haut En Cloures is collapsing, but it’s definitely not from my bet. I took 11-1 ew. I just think that he’s a horse who’s still not fulfilled his potential for Willie Mullins yet
January 22, 2023 at 13:39 #1631874Chacun for me, I don’t think he was stopping last time. Fakir is younger but was hard pushed to beat Two For Gold over the trip last year.

January 22, 2023 at 13:48 #1631878Well done HDLG and Mike. Hard luck Kris that was a nasty looking fall, relieved to see HEC get up and canter on. Poor Bryan Cooper! I don’t blame him for thumping the turf, so frustrating and it wasn’t his fault.
January 22, 2023 at 13:50 #1631879Thank you GAG, that was a hard one to take

January 22, 2023 at 19:59 #1631914On a day of a few seconds it was nice to get a bit of lady luck , not sure where they go with Chacun , he didn’t stay and doesn’t have the zip for 2m
January 22, 2023 at 20:07 #1631917Kris, I don’t know if this makes it any easier, but I’m reasonably convinced Haut En Couleures would have been caught by the winner. He was tiring approaching the last (note him hanging right, having to be corrected at least 3 times by the jock), his fall typical of a tired horse who lacks the energy to get his front feet back out having made the jump.
