Cheers, VtC. Definitely hold Archer’s Dream in high regard although I think Kemble will be axed from my calculations in future. Desert Wind will definitely return on this thread just not on turf (barring his mark falling dramatically a couple years down the line). Good Birthday ran OK, wasn’t completely convinced he needed to be so far off that pace. He remains in my good books although I’m wary about his scope for improvement given his sire – Dabirsim. Would love to see him in a slightly easier grade although he’s still running very well.
Very poor innings so far today, and no way of ending the day in profit now Ironclad is a non-runner. Not too bothered though as I’m going to Newmarket tomorrow and I’m absolutely buzzing. Will do another Goliath tomorrow, assuming I can find 8 (seldom difficult on a 9-card Saturday).
Krypton, these Summer Saturdays are so busy that I reckon I could muster up 4 x Goliath bets easily.
Archers Dream maybe a little bit disappointing today, but probably not one to write off too quickly.
Yeah I’m not writing off Archer’s Dream off yet. Similar justification to Telecaster, she only made her debut this year. Late April no less. Always had her down as a next season horse.

Rare for me to back a horse in a first-time hood but Think Positive’s latest 2nd came from a race which has churned out winners. He was also sent off fav for the Land Rover Bumper in 2018 so he must have some ability even if he’s not stood much racing.
Wouldn’t be as confident about Linger, but the 240+ day absence is almost a bonus since Joseph will have had more time with him. I’m just relieved I wasn’t roped into backing Magic Sea again (or Roachdale House for that matter).
Really hopeful about Authorized Art tomorrow, especially as I’ve convinced myself Morosini might find 2 miles a bit sharp.
