Nothing on Oddschecker, but priced up by Bet365
The type of regional National where my record is patchy at best, but got three on my radar here.
Flower of Scotland Sensibly pulled from Ayr on Saturday. The forecast is touch and go to be in her favour, but the 8’s is very tempting.
Planned Paradise Taken out of Sandown today, and after a satisfactory run last time, very interesting if he makes the trip
Wee Small Hours 14yo who might just be slightly exposed now. Bet him a good few times over the years, but missed a trick in The Bluegrass Chase at Down Royal with him, where against decent opposition he ran a cracker. I did bet him last time, where he was terrible. That should be enough to put me off, but if he travels, I’ll definitely bet him, and I’d be hopeful of beating current 25’s
Sensible to wait, but most likely to be Flower of Scotland if I have an early bet. Plenty of others with the right profile, so sensible call just now is to wait
Early Shortlist
Flower of Scotland
Planned Paradise
Wee Small HoursApril 25, 2023 at 11:27 #1645322I used to like a bet on Space Cadet now and then, but having written him off, he really surprised me in the Ulster national. He’s 16/1 just now, but I will bet him once he is declared
April 25, 2023 at 12:30 #1645330Autumnal, at least yours ran well at Downpatrick. I bet Welsh Saint then and he was poor. I’ll give him another ew bet if he runs here, but I’ll be betting another one with more sense behind it. It’s not an ante-post race for me, but there are some nice prices on offer here
April 27, 2023 at 13:59 #1645673Destiny Is All is my main selection at 7-1, with stablemate Return Fire as backup
April 27, 2023 at 18:28 #1645720Only one of my shortlist made it, so straightforward selection with Planned Paradise
Planned Paradise 10’s
April 27, 2023 at 20:47 #1645849I’m taking a punt on Fairlawn Flyer 20s (BOG) for the Bowens.
I’ll forgive 2 of his runs over last 6 months (2 PUs), although did win at Ffos Las in late Dec.
A bit of a Ffos Las specialist over the last year or so, but has won at Perth, back in Sept 21. Seems to prefer softer ground and rain is forecast thru the night at Perth.Best of luck to all
