Consider that Sequoyah was a late bloomer around the later Autumn of her 3YO season, and Listen is heading in the same direction as her sister – it goes to show that the raw talent we’ve seen from Henrythenavigator advertises a pretty special horse.I personally considered his Coventry Stakes win as the best visual performance by a 2YO all year, ahead of Raven’s Pass, New Approach or War Pass.
The 14/1 I notice for the 2,000 Guineas looks highly inviting but why no price for the Derby as yet?
April 1, 2008 at 10:03 #154866I disagree about The Coventry Stakes being the best 2 year old form around (those behind were good yard sticks but none were top class), but its obvious being by Kingmambo he is better on good or faster ground and his last 2 runs were on much softer so can be more than excused.
It’ll be interesting to see how both he and Jupiter Pluvius are aimed as I think they both have potential to sneak up and beat all of those owned by Sheikh Mo and his associates, given a good winter. Juptier reminds me a bit of Footstepsinthesand in that he’s very unexposed and all eyes over the winter were at other horses, but there is plenty to like about Henry too and its not only unbeaten horses who win classics.April 1, 2008 at 10:05 #154868If there is better two year old form around than last year’s Dewhurst, I’ll eat my goldfish.

Last year’s Dewhurst may well have left its mark on a lot of horses because it was such a hard race.
