What’s Russell got for Saturday in Ireland? Anything good?
Un Atout

Ahhhhhhhhh
November 29, 2012 at 16:18 #421184every time The Package runs a good race is well backed beforehand.
Could just be that he is often well backed. He has been beaten favourite seven times in his career.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
November 29, 2012 at 16:57 #421187There are some occasions when The Package is well backed and doesn’t run well Steve, but all the times I can remember him running well (not neccessarily win) seems to be well backed. Therefore the drift looks ominous and I now expect The Package to be a non-runner.
Value Is EverythingNovember 29, 2012 at 17:38 #421194At 33/1 I cannot see past Soll.
Young, low weight, jumps well in the main, likes soft ground and stays all day. Cam also run well fresh
If it was still trained in Ireland by Mullins I think it would be nearer 12/1November 29, 2012 at 22:58 #421224the more I look at this race, the more I can’t get away from the favourite. this race seems to be populated by an awful lot of dross, and as others have pointed out looks a weak renewal.
at 4-1 its bobs worth all day long.

Not sure you got my point, which was, that if he is usually well backed, there will be times he runs well and has been backed, just as there will be times he runs poorly and has been backed. Either way he is not one for me in this class.

November 30, 2012 at 12:22 #421243At fours, you can back Bob’s Worth each way and be pretty darned certain you won’t lose out.
Dull, depressing, but true.

So don't run, just like the others always do

There’s no such thing as a certainty in racing…

True, but if he stands up, I can’t see four horses finishing ahead of him, and I’ve tried, God knows I’ve tried.
Still find barely any mention of Lion Na Bearnai a touch odd, though.

November 30, 2012 at 18:32 #421259Teaforthree seems an awful big price at 22 on Betfair: should be half that imo.
I hear there has been talk of ground doubts and it being a prep for the Welsh GN but he looks thrown in to me
November 30, 2012 at 19:04 #421266I thought about teaforthree as well, but I wondered if he’s a bit of a one-paced slowboat. could be a good national horse in time though.
i’ve had a little saver on soll, as he gets in with a nice weight, to back up my main bet on the jolly.
November 30, 2012 at 22:45 #421293There are a few in this race which are (imo) vastly under-priced (main one being Tidal Bay – which has meant more are over-priced. And with the money at last (seemingly) coming for The Package…
I’ve backed:
First Lieutenent 14/1 and The Package 13/1
with savers on Hold On Julio 9/1 and Magnanimity 22/1. with a partial saver on Bobs Worth 9/2.

Well, if he’s one-paced, gransenor, it seems to be a fast one, judging from his RP speed-figure – right up there with the best.
December 1, 2012 at 01:14 #421310Bobsworth is a class above these and wasn’t right for most of last season but still won the RSA, track will suit here at Newbury and I fancy him to continue the run of second season chasers landing the big races this season.
FL is a good e/w bet at 10/1.
December 1, 2012 at 01:59 #421313DUKE OF LUCCA! DUKE OF LUCCA!
22/1 on Betfair.
‘I’m Ras Prince Monolulu, from Sunny Honolulu!’December 1, 2012 at 15:23 #421367Cracking performance from Bobs Worth.
Really good run from Tidal Bay too.
There were a few times in the race when I was purposely watching Bobs Worth, don’t think he was traveling 100% at some times, but you cannot argue with the way he came to the fore and traveled to the line.
Really good race and well done to Bobs Worth.
