    Who knows rab123, who knows?

“freddie” became a selection via my cobbled BF meanderings and Nicky Henderson’s opinion should be much better than mine and is very interesting.

    rab123

I have turned up Kayf Grace as well for N Henderson with an overall SR of 26% ………………. Won 11/4

However the overall stats for D Skelton – Tommy Silver indicate a 20% SR

I guess it must depend on the time period – my figs. simply state overall without a given time frame as far as I can see.

Good Morning BILLION I have Tommy Silver trained by Nicholls.

Oh dear oh dear rab123, I must have had too many mince pies – it could not have been the drink because sadly these days I don’t!

    Does it work in Ireland?

Not finding anything for Thursday I checked Leopardstown and W. Mullins has 4 BF’s running.

I will give it a miss but did enjoy KAYFE GRACE @ 5/1 today

    Hi Billion
Mullins last three at Leopardstown looks good in the price range his strike rate is ok.

No system B/F in UK today.

    G’day to you rab123.

For me this will only be a “watching day” for two reasons.

    1) the concept is a new one for me and therefore caution is not unreasonable.

    2) there is no reason for it not to work in Ireland but when just one trainer has several BF’s on one card, such as W. Mullins has today I have a gut feeling any horse he puts out will become a favourite (or thereabouts) simply because of his wonderful reputation.

I imagine most BF,s have been backed, perhaps heavily, by the horses connections and may have got stung in the process having been expected to win, rather than on the trainers reputation such as W. Mullins has.

    I shall watch with interest.

    Hi Purwell
Six or Ten pounds min a month.

I have gone for the free trial and initial impression is that it is a very good piece of kit, may well do a lot more than I want it to.
    Incidentally prices have gone up.
£15 per month for recreational use.
£20 per month for enhanced use.
To be fair I think £5 per week is not bad, not much more than the price of a pint nowadays.

I am happy I swerved Leopardstown/W. Mullins today and think maybe there could be quite a few false favourites from stables such as this one.
The problem being we require BF’s from gambling yards but it is doubtful there will ever be 30% SR from such yards.

Having already posted MR CARBONATOR & COPAIN DE CLASSE there is little to get excited about on such a cold and wet day and one can only have sympathy for both horses and riders.

I am most interested in your choice today, STAR ASCENDING from J. CANDISH has an overall SR of 12% which falls far below the 30% you suggested.

Because I do not have any data base I rely on freely available sites and in such a method as this I look at ATR for my info.

The cobbled system I have created for a one a day “pick” and being as close to your suggestion I can get is to click on the BF’s trainer (ATR) and select the one where the trainer has the best “overall” SR such as COPAIN DE CLASSE, P. Nichols at 22%.

I’m not betting much at the moment, still trying to make a plan of action.
I have now subscibed to HRB and I’m in the process of trying to understand it.
I may well resurrect some of my old abandoned systems and run the criteria through it to see if I can spot where they went wrong.
One thing has crossed my mind and that is that with all systems we try to weed out the losers, so why not wait until the system throws up 3 or 4 losers and then start betting?

    Hi Billion
I have not given you all the filters I put in, the 30% and BF are just two
there are some more. You never know who else is looking in on our systems.
