I watched this incident and strictly speaking, Chapman was correct – and though he did milk it for all its worth, he did add that it would be churlish if the steward’s took action against the jockey.

Which begs the question : why did he keep replaying it over and over again ?

I did not see the Hayley Turner interview. Perhaps she said it tongue in cheek – or maybe that is what she really believes.

Chapman was accused of this last year when he criticized Joe Fanning and Fanning got an 18 day ban, if my memory is correct Tommo was less then supportive of his college on that occasion so maybe there’s not a lot of love lost between them.
