Haydock Park Revisited.

Well it’s that time again, Kirkland Tellwright the Clerk of The Course at Haydock making alterations to the race distances yet again.

Making adjustments to my lbs. per length calculations to accommodate
the changes to the official distances is like doing a Sudoku puzzle.

After 1 hour I finally worked out the going allowances for yesterday’s meeting, the routes I had the going at <b>-0.50s/f</b> per furlong and the sprints (6f races) I ended up with <b>-0.65s/f</b>.

The official going was heavy, I made it <b>soft</b>.

Good/firm +0.20s/f to +0.53s/f
Good -0.25s/f to +0.18s/f
Good/soft -0.55s/f to -0.28s/f
Soft -1.00s/f to -0.58s/f
Heavy -1.58s/f to -1.03s/f

In the <b>2.30</b> I have Marco Botti’s <b>De Rigueur</b> 17lbs ahead of his official handicap mark of 59, I have him now at <b>76</b>, the second <b>Luctor Emergo</b> was unlucky to run into a very well handicapped horse so he goes into the note book as well.
