Pulled up at Aintree on Friday with jockey reporting that he “jumped poorly”. Reported to have died next day. R.I.P.

That poor horse had ZERO clue about what was happening. It jumped all over the place and landed sideways on all four legs. One of the poorest performances you’ll ever see in a NH race.
In France they have to make one pre-race jump in order to take part in the race.
I think this should be practiced in GB and IRE as well. It is fair for everyone involved: horse, jockey, punters.

    May he rest in peace

This is so so sad to read … I feel sick thinking about it. WHY was the flat racer put in a hurdle race – and seemingly unprepared for it ??? Will any questions be asked of the trainer? What injury did he have???

Odd really , in good nick on flat , goes on AW and all types going . May have reached his mark on flat but not even ran off it . Strange decision to send horse hurdling .
Horses in form on flat sent to cheap novice hurdle for less prize money than his recent flat wins , horses with no form , with issues going round at 150/1 , get all sorts in this section , bizarre really .

HCMW, please check out Hooligan, if you want to:

Contested races at Wetherby and Hereford worth a few grand to the winner though he was rated at around 134 over hurdles. Then they taken him over to France and he’s a money spinner already with earnings of almost 250k. Just saying, if you have the choice of sending one over hurdles, at least make sure the money’s right.

Had look thought maybe travel , only one of stable ran on night , then breeding , stallions jumps horses average . Dam offspring , first run over jumps .
The reasoning is there somewhere Iam sure .
Plenty mile/10 furlongs for 79 rated by looks .
Maybe he got real slow after last up win
