Has banged on ad naus about how Fiepes Shuffle will win a big race at a big price, going right handed, over 2m in UK.
Good call.
December 28, 2008 at 02:07 #199673Erm, I really love Nick Mordin too, but this is the same Nick Mordin who wrote that Kauto Star is finished . . .
December 28, 2008 at 02:20 #199676Quite probably Gerald.
That sort of opinion (KS finito) adds nothing to general discussion, so just washes over. He’s much the same over Pandorama (still a monumental talent apparently).
However, Mordin is at his best when he’s playing the (scientific) contrarian- as with Fiepes Shuffle.
December 28, 2008 at 04:58 #199736In fairness to him he was fairly positive about Notre Pere for the Welsh National as well.
December 28, 2008 at 08:00 #199764Mordin remains one of the most thought provoking analysists of racing anywhere imo.
December 28, 2008 at 16:34 #199805He certainly provokes me into thinking about what a load of tosh he spouts.
December 29, 2008 at 03:15 #200001A stopped clock is right twice a day.
December 29, 2008 at 03:20 #200007Given his closeness to the horse and trainer, I’ve been more taken with AngloGerman’s unbending faith in Fieppes Shuffle than Mr Mordin’s. Hope you had a sherbet or two to celebrate last night, Darren – a very very Neuss result for you!

I was very impressed with what he wrote about Pandorama (haven’t read the latest one or two weekly reports). He said that because the horse was running fast, he’d take something out of himself. And he seems to have been right about that.

Jeremy, if you read the thread ‘Desert Orchid chase?’, you’ll see that I had slightly more than a sherbet or two!!!!
