July 31, 2010 at 13:37 #310198What is the Sunday Forum?
a topical discussion on racing matters, screened lunchtime every Sunday on ATR.
July 31, 2010 at 13:39 #310200Hope it’s Sean chairing and not Chapman.

Wouldn’t imagine Chapman is Harry’s cup of tea, what you see is what you get with H, straight talker, says it how it is.

In wonder will he bring his toys for his pram with him??? So he can throw them out of it if something doesnt go his way during the interview….
I couldnt care less what the big child has to say..
July 31, 2010 at 14:50 #310213I like him, proper character.
July 31, 2010 at 15:26 #310220Hope it’s Sean chairing and not Chapman.
Haven’t actually watched one of these Sunday shows, but from the advertising ATR do I’m guessing Chapman chairs them ever Sunday doesn’t he? Or do they alternate, Chapman, Boycie, Enzo etc.

Its generally Matt Chapman one week then Boycie the next, not always the case, Chappers does more than Boycie overall.
Its a great show which should be extended to 90 minutes.
Glad Harry Findlay is on Racing needs characters like him and I hope its Chappers hosting. Sean Boyce is Ok but he’s a fence sitter and he laughs at his own jokes.
July 31, 2010 at 16:32 #310230Having forced myself to bite my tongue this week for fear of being excommunicated from the forum, I’m prepared to take the risk of experiencing Grasshopper’s wrath in view of this last post from Ian.
Far from being a fence sitter, Mr. Boyce regularly takes a clear and vociferous stand when the occasion merits it. I suggest you visit Boyciesbettingblog and read his articles relating to the B.H.A., Watering, Harry F., Betting Exchanges, the price of fish etc. etc.
As a long-standing TRF contributor he often posts on here and few can forget his demolition of one particular bent jockey where he held nothing back.
I can’t say I’ve noticed him laughing at his own jokes but if that is the case then I’m sure that’s only because they are particularly funny.July 31, 2010 at 17:03 #310237While Boycie’s demolition of Deano was very pleasing, let’s not forget the hard work in the back court by Tom and Mark and Paul, and the assist from Struthers to set up the slam dunk.

His jokes aren’t funny, at least I don’t think so but then maybe I have no sense of humour?
July 31, 2010 at 17:32 #310243I appreciate these were just your opinions Ian but it might be helpful if you provide an example or two before publicly accusing a fellow forumite of being a fence-sitter. Would I be close to the mark in suggesting that you are possibly thinking in particular of Sean’s handling of what you perceive to be bad rides by certain jockeys?
If you can also recall one of his jokes, even better. I have no doubt whatsoever that you have a sense of humour…that was abundantly clear from reading your post.
Ken (The little green smiley face goes here)July 31, 2010 at 17:35 #310246He certainly didn’t get wood chip in his ars e cheeks in the face of An Infamous Gamble recently, Ian. And his opinions on Boycies Blog are extremely forthright.
I’m not sure enough people read his blog sadly. His latest opinion piece – that horse racing isn’t a sport – is both controversial and entertaining. I don’t agree with a word of it, but it isn’t the proclamation of someone who goes for half rice, half chips at the Calcutta Flower.

That’s just reminded me of that Alexi Sayle joke about the Liverpool girl who goes into a jewellers and asks to see a selection of gold crosses. The jeweller asks her, "Would you like to have a look at some gold Crucifixes."
"No, not really" says the girl "I just want one of those gold crosses with the little man on."July 31, 2010 at 17:47 #310248Probably the best piece of racing journalism you’ll read all year. Very well put Mr Boyce and so, so true.
Read it here…

Harry even called Chapman an expert on International racing a while back when he wasn’t even speaking to Chapman. I wonder if he was straight talking then?
