Today we lost the 15yr old Happy Hussar in the first race at Newton Abbott.. My best friend is heartbroken, she used to look after him and she loved this horse more than anything in the world…

What happened to him? I know he was going backwards during the race but I didn’t realise he’d died. How sad for your friend.

First Admiral Peary and now Happy Hussar – what an awful couple of months for the good Doctor.

very sorry for everbody concerned; I love to see the good doctor and his old warriors at the races and Happy Hussar really did make me feel ‘happy’…epitomozed the cavalier spirit of the whole operation.very sad.

And what do you know about this horse? Not all horses benefit from being retired…
enough has been said about it.. he has gone, lets leave it all alone so he can rest in peace..
