Officially 11 years old today and still winging fences from the front. Has been eligible for veterans’ chases for a year now. If he ever goes that way he’ll push them all out of the handicap and whip them hollow
January 1, 2023 at 19:46 #1629326Born Survivor, ten lengths third to Frodon in the Oaksey Chase at Sandown Park last April, won on his Point-to-Point debut at Larkhill today at the rewarding odds of 4/1.
It’s his birthday too – in fact, it’s all their birthdays.
Happy birthday, horses!

January 2, 2023 at 12:25 #1629409I think I may inadvertently have stepped into nerd territory. My ol’ paw gave me a bit of sound many years ago.
He said nipper, if you are ever in the company of nerds or horseheads the best thing to do is join in with one eye but with your other eye roll it around and look about for a convenient exit.Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you

From old friends and new,
May good luck go with you,
And happiness too.How old are you now?
How old are you now?
How old, How old
How old are you now?” I’m eleven year mate and still counting,
and I can smell a fraud like a duff plastic carrot a
mile away from my horsebox”January 2, 2023 at 12:53 #1629412Frodon is Mr Ed the talking horse

January 2, 2023 at 13:57 #1629415I remember him as a 4-yr-old starting over fences; he looked useful, but not set for such a stellar career. Magnificently trained and placed by Paul Nicholls
January 2, 2023 at 17:35 #1629432Beautifully ridden too – perfect balance, beautiful hands. A great team, and a joy to watch.
