Happy birthday 4PP – 20 years young this month

Every Saturday (give or take the odd mid-season break of a week) Bob Rolf has been settling the scores for TRF’s favourite competition – the 4PP – AND HE’S BEEN DOING IT FOR TWENTY YEARS THIS MONTH!
Many happy returns to 4PP and VERY many thanks to Bob on behalf of all of us who, over the years, have looked forward to the racing results on a Saturday afternoon to see how our 4PP picks got on.

It all started on the Channel 4 racing website in 1998 …..I’ve still got the channel 4 racing umbrella they gave me for running the competition but the polo shirts have long gone!

Admin has promised that if you keep it going for another 20 years then in 2038 you can have another polo shirt at half price.

Hi Bob,

It goes without saying how much we all appreciate all your hard work and diligence in running this fabulous competition over the last 20 years.
However, I much insist that you continue to do it for AT LEAST the next 20 years or even longer if I STILL haven’t managed to win the Daylight Cup
Saturdays without the 4PP, which is becoming progressively harder to win due to the quality of the opposition, would be unthinkable.
So, like the other posters above, please accept a huge ‘thankyou’ from me.
